Buyers and collectors feel safe when an artist sticks to a certain look or style.
Look at Picasso and Chagall and Pollock and big names.
Investors and buyers get put off by artists that they cannot categorise.

But that didn't stop him from becoming one of the greatest artists the world has seen surely?

Don't care for the word "Superman" or "Batman" in the middle of the forehead. I think it pulls the viewer straight to that part and distracts from the overall aesthetic. I really like the concept, but not enough to pull the trigger to buy. Fun to look at though!

I own a couple of her studies. And when you mentioned print flipping, I looked on eBay. Wtf?? When did she get so popular? It was only 8 months ago that she was selling those studies. Personally I quite enjoy her work.

I think she has the potential to be a big artist crossing over from the street/urban into the more contemporary market.
But I have to say that for me, giclee prints are a little bit of a 'lazy' option particularly at this price point and time in her career - Graffitiprints produced a 36 colour screen last time out and her work screams out for this method of production - hand pulled screen printing is a recognized artistic production technique and from experience I know just how much work goes into it. I've never been a fan of giclee I'm afraid, I have difficulty paying out for something that to my mind isn't art, just a representation of such.
Sorry to be critical as I do love her work and it's originality, but I think I may give this one a miss...
