New Banksy?, by rioja on Apr 17, 2014 14:49:47 GMT 1, Ok I know this is a bit pathetic but I reckon I just may have been the one to give it the title Mobile Lovers (used it back on pg6 just after the Banksy page update was revealed). It then got used on street art news before catching on with the press - and we all know they all use this forum for accurate info!
My minor claim to fame but probably clutching at straws!
Can't help looking at it now and thinking of Tony Blair and Wendi Deng. Kinda spoils it!

So, what if he and the other two wore gloves (even whilst spraying) but an accomplice accidentally rubbed his elbow against it at one point?, will there be a database for elbow prints?.

New Banksy?, by kittysaz on Apr 17, 2014 16:02:16 GMT 1, Locards principle of exchange
"Wherever he steps, whatever he touches, whatever he leaves, even unconsciously, will serve as a silent witness against him. Not only his fingerprints or his footprints, but his hair, the fibers from his clothes, the glass he breaks, the tool mark he leaves, the paint he scratches, the blood or semen he deposits or collects. All of these and more, bear mute witness against him. This is evidence that does not forget. It is not confused by the excitement of the moment. It is not absent because human witnesses are. It is factual evidence. Physical evidence cannot be wrong, it cannot perjure itself, it cannot be wholly absent. Only human failure to find it, study and understand it, can diminish its value." Fragmentary or trace evidence is any type of material left at—or taken from—a crime scene, or the result of contact between two surfaces, such as shoes and the floor covering or soil, or fibers from where someone sat on an upholstered chair.
Locards principle of exchange

New Banksy?, by kittysaz on Apr 17, 2014 16:05:38 GMT 1, Re the spray. There will be fine spray when the artwork was done, coming back onto the person and deposited on the face, hands, up the nose , on the hair. Microscopic deposits invisible to the human eye. Wind and weather conditions play a part. Paint is unique too. It's all valuable evidence. No matter how hard one tried to avoid it, it's there. From one thing to the other. You just have to look...
