Still there today. Fun taking photos of people taking photos on their mobiles of the mobile lovers.
The phone booth piece (iSpy) looking good today. The phone booth itself has been spruced up. The piece was painted over a couple of nights ago. Fortunately it was emulsion and quick witted residents quickly removed it.

New Banksy?, by Deleted on Apr 19, 2014 22:01:10 GMT 1, What's banksy make his stencils out of then? well I can find out how he used to make them easily enough. But I have no idea of his current choice of weapon. When I speak to a friend I'll post. Christ slammer, where you gone? LA?, so anyhow its quite complicated but basically he uses Fish products.

As someone who worked in the art market for a number of years, and dealt fairly regularly with Banksy's 'people', I can assure you that noone is more concerned with the market for their works, or protecting and maintaining the price levels, than Mr B. He learnt it all from his mate Damien Hirst, who advised him alongside staff at a rather grand auction house when it all went bonkers in 2006-7. Is anyone aware, for example, that his huge exhibition in the Bristol public gallery was a selling exhibition, and that on the opening night the works in the show were being aggressively marketed to the many rich collectors had been invited along? Not surprisingly, that was all kept rather quiet."

Ahh...Big Al. He never could keep his sporran shut. That's him out of the syndicate.
I don't think it's a big secret though, nor is it a crime, that Banksy has adjusted his prices in recent years. I don't expect him to pay for diapers and teeth whitening purely by knocking out lots of £40 canvasses.

I like some of Banky's art for example the Christ with shopping bags and the kids running the Tescos bag up the flagpole and the Olympics javelin thrower throwing a rocket were pure genius.
A lot of other stuff just looks kitch and hyped up to me by a big expensive PR machine.
The latest mobile lovers looks like a rip off of a stock image Library image. www.dreamstime.com/stock-photography-business-couple-hug-still-using-cell-phone-image14523622
Which gives the impression that either Mr B is running out of ideas or just getting lazy.
Unlike you, I don't fall for the hype.
Maybe you should run the I love Banksy fan club.

So would all other artists. After all they are just advertorials in those rags not really independant articles by todays so called journos.
I'm old enough to have met Dali and young enough to be an outsider.

Outsiders if you like. The event aims to stimulate debate by challenging entrenched notions of what art is, and more importantly, can be"
yet when anyone criticises what is fast becoming jaded and boring by some of todays so called big names you don't like it.

New Banksy?, by Deleted on Apr 21, 2014 14:11:47 GMT 1, Not everyone seing as I get quite a few likes for some of my posts.
I wouldn't be surprised if some with financial interests and flippers don't like any criticisms posted or any peoples real opinions.
If this thread is about the new Banksy of the mobile lovers then my honest opinion is it's not original it's a boring image and if one looks at it on it's own merits it looks like a copy of a stock photo to me.
There again some of the most successful selling artists are know to be plagiarists.
I'm interested in art while others only see the £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££
cant have criticism can we, don't want the stock price to fall.
