Its like a drunken idea between friends and they actually followed it through, no idea what the score is with the magenta, do they actually have these or you buying the possibility of buying one, smells fishy. Pretty sure i read if you own 25% of the shares you can take it home but you have to leave a 150% deposit?? So if you have 2500 worth in a 10k picture you can take it home if you give them a 15k deposit, just bananas!

An investment is based on investing in something on the basis that the value will rise and there again this guys smart cos he can say he can't sell the painting for as long as he likes and end up keeping it for ever.
Or if the value goes down, and he sells at half the price he only has to re fund 50% of the original investors money.
He's been all over French TV too.
I'm selling a hundred shares in a Plop at 1p a share.

If you think about it, they probably never sell a painting for those huge prices yet keep the naive (stupid) investors who thought it was a good idea.
