Taxi for Mr moyes, by Deleted on Apr 22, 2014 9:38:31 GMT 1, Just googled that Trevorm, looks like he was loaded anyhow but probably spent a bit since then on televisions and carpets etc (consumables), prob not short of a bob or two though.
Scottish former footballer and manager, David William Moyes has a net worth of $15 million as of May 2012, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. Moyes is the current manager of English Premier League club Everton. A journeyman centre-half with Celtic who went on to play for six lower-division clubs north and south of the border, Moyes took the reins at a struggling Preston North End side in 1998. He saved the club from relegation to Division Three in his first season and took them to the Division One playoff final in 2001, losing to Bolton Wanderers. In June 2001 he signed a five-year deal worth ยฃ3.5m to stay at Preston but took over as Everton manager less than a year later. As manager of the Toffees, Moyes achieved acclaim for running his team on a shoestring, having to sell stars such as Wayne Rooney and Joleon Lescott to balance the books. From 2002-2008 the Scotโs Everton salary was about ยฃ30,000 a week but in 2008 he put pen to paper on a five-year deal worth ยฃ16.5m. The Preston and Everton salaries would have added up to ยฃ22m.
Has anyone noticed how much weight Chris Moyles has lost? its amazing,he used to be a right tubster but not anymore. I think he looked better before.

Yeah it ls happening more in the game these days, lots of players undermining their coach and leaking things to the press or on twatter, even moaning to the directors etc..
As soon as they made that banner the 'chosen one' you knew it would end in tears although like matteo he will have a massive pay out and just take a few years out holidaying in the sun

Taxi for Mr moyes, by kel on Apr 22, 2014 11:04:12 GMT 1, It was a farcical appointment from day 1. Everybody knew he was going to fail. Nothing to do with following Fergie he was never a good manager in the first place. Just a mid table manager who had never won anything. Problem United and the fans had is they have been blinkered for 26 years with Fergie and the landscape of football management has changed. No club keeps a manager for a long time now too much money in the game. I have been surprised how long Wenger has lasted at Arsenal with no silverware. No other manager in world football would get away with that. As for Moyes personally I am gutted. As a Manchester City fan I was hoping he would carry on with the impeccable job that he had started.

Do you cannot have much sympathy with him. Giggs played well for him rarely played him Januzac played well for him rarely played him. Rarely played the wingers and players with pace etc.
looked like a team that lacked a concept and a methodology
eg if Mouriniho had been made manager would Utd be 7th I doubt it

Taxi for Mr moyes, by Trevorm on Apr 22, 2014 11:47:13 GMT 1, I've just heard from grahamh that David Moyes is being closely watched by Burnley with a view to replacing the current manager before the end of the season.
Other managers being considered are 'Curbs'; Erik the swede; Big bloke from West Ham and that other foreign chappy Rafa (might be Nadal, I s'pose)

(Previously Coventry too)
Silverware is not important in football if your in it for the money .......

you're right there hubble, the man u of fergies era never really had the best individual players but they had belief in themselves as a unit and in the manager/club, even if fergies man u were 3 nil down with 30 to go there was always a chance they could win 4-3. This season if they went 1-0 down you thought how are they gonna get back. Hard to watch for a supporter.

Being run by a business only works if you've got the infrastructure already behind you, as Arsenal have. Saints were run like a business and the revenue just didn't go far enough and that resulted in two quick relegations, which needed a billionaire to sort out. Cornish, I thought though you'd be all in favour of fan ownership being future of football, as that way everyone gets the pleasure to pay for their former players wages like Kanu and David James ;-)

I'm well aware of what's needed, I'm also well aware that we all want success, we all chase the silverware, waited all my life to lift the FA Cup, never ever thought I'd see it, guess what we bought it. Well we didn't as fans and not even as a club, a very clever business man called sacha gadamyk who knew from the start what he wanted to do, and it's all about how those contracts are signed and were the profits go because we bought beyond our means....... The league didn't care like they don't care now, the premiership best league in the world, what because you have billionaires using it as a playground or millionaires trying to join in......
There is little or no welfare for the clubs, their history or fans, as long as the FA & Sky tv keep fisting the big clubs and eventually the fans, the fans, let's talk about then because they are the biggest losers in all of this, they get drawn into the glitzy media world watching billionaire purchases on the couch in HD 3D paying more and more to the clubs and media to watch this merry go round, they are the first to complain when their club is in debt and not spending all this income, but the money keeps coming, Chelsea like Man city only want one thing, Cups!!! The money really is not object.
And Portsmouth we wanted success, it was great winning big games, riding high watching your lot fall, it was great!!!! Being Pompey was great, even a jolly into Europe....... But all the while, I was pinching myself this isn't the Pompey I knew we have always been a 2nd tier team, this can't be right......
I'm not a business man I didn't know what was going to happen, not once but 3 times administration !!!! Pompeys fault NO! Leagues fault YES!!!!
I was right, this Pompey team I had grown up with were not the same, suddenly it wasn't my team, I was struggling to get tickets for games, hadn't missed a game for 7 straight seasons, this wasn't right...... (Everybody has glory supporters)
I didn't like it, if this is what success brings you can keep it.
I love football for football not for success, I know you will agree with me, when I say the passion involved in a relegation fight is far superior to any chance of a medal, I can honestly say staying up on the last day on a season means more than wanting to win the premiership, I'd sooner be an up down club every other year like west ham Norwich west brom or Leicester as it keeps you on your toes
We are now fan owned and we are in league 2, I'm loving my football again and I'm going to games, grounds I've never visited before, and terraces, loving the standing up again The passion is back and not the glory,
You could honestly remove premier league trip we had and it wouldn't bother me, I know you will say he is sour, you don't know me so please don't judge , honestly hand on heart, I would sooner hand back the trophys and be good old Pompey again.
We have a chance to build now, palace have proved its possible, it could take years but hey I'm happy.
We can all dream of being the best in the land, we have been there It ain't all that !!!
My personal Pompey 2p worth

I love football for football not for success, I know you will agree with me, when I say the passion involved in a relegation fight is far superior to any chance of a medal, I can honestly say staying up on the last day on a season means more than wanting to win the premiership, I'd sooner be an up down club every other year like west ham Norwich west brom or Leicester as it keeps you on your toes We are now fan owned and we are in league 2, I'm loving my football again and I'm going to games, grounds I've never visited before, and terraces, loving the standing up again The passion is back and not the glory, You could honestly remove premier league trip we had and it wouldn't bother me, I know you will say he is sour, you don't know me so please don't judge , honestly hand on heart, I would sooner hand back the trophys and be good old Pompey again. We have a chance to build now, palace have proved its possible, it could take years but hey I'm happy. We can all dream of being the best in the land, we have been there It ain't all that !!! My personal Pompey 2p worth
Thoroughly enjoyed reading your post, my friend. Your passion shines through. I do agree with what you said about relegation battles. A few years ago we had two in quick succession (to avoid drops to league 1), that went down to the final game of the season. The excitement is wonderful. I almost feel sorry for the modern day Man U, Chelsea, et al fans who don't ever experience it.
Being run by a business only works if you've got the infrastructure already behind you, as Arsenal have. Saints were run like a business and the revenue just didn't go far enough and that resulted in two quick relegations, which needed a billionaire to sort out. Cornish, I thought though you'd be all in favour of fan ownership being future of football, as that way everyone gets the pleasure to pay for their former players wages like Kanu and David James ;-) I'm well aware of what's needed, I'm also well aware that we all want success, we all chase the silverware, waited all my life to lift the FA Cup, never ever thought I'd see it, guess what we bought it. As I've mentioned before CC, I hope that before long PFC will be back. It would be great if "skate" and "scummer" fans can have a regular derby, they're the best games I've ever been to.

Taxi for Mr moyes, by johnnyh on Apr 25, 2014 2:37:03 GMT 1, Arsenal are a business run football company and their profits speak for themselves, I'd rather be run like arsenal than any other team in the top flight, they are very comfortable and settled, that is why they are the only club to have never played outside of top flight football ...... (Previously Coventry too) Silverware is not important in football if your in it for the money ....... fair play for mentioning coventry! Not many people remember that. ( they also seem to forget about oggys goal from his own 18 yrd box in 1987 when they keep goin on about these goals from the halfway line)
Invaded are you a City fan congrats fella one and the same!!!
