As in, a lot of Bast and some early Faile work comes with smudges, imperfect edges, stains, etc... and that's intentional. Not "minty fresh," in other words.

My understanding / use of the term 'artist condition' (as old pieces by Faile & Bast were often described); is that the condition of the piece is as intended by the artist when it left the studio.
So expect footprints, spilt tea and pin holes.
