Anyone have an Eelus not everything is so black and white?, by me on Apr 27, 2014 17:45:03 GMT 1, A reasonable price would be an agreed price in which both parties were happy with.
obviously a crazy price like 10k for the print is unreasonable for the purchaser to pay.
The same way 50p is ridiculous for a seller to accept and is also unreasonable.
Happy to discuss prices if someone has one they might like to sell.

Anyone have an Eelus not everything is so black and white?, by Poster Bob on Apr 27, 2014 17:58:50 GMT 1, Me, I'd recommend in the future saying that you'd like to pay "fair market value" instead of "a reasonable price." Every time I have answered a wanted ad saying that I had the item and it included the statement "for a reasonable price" I received a pathetic low-ball offer and in the future will just ignore any such thread as a waste of time. I now perceive "a reasonable price" as board speak for "I will dick you around, waste your time, require 50 emails about condition, provenance and 20 detailed pictures only to offer half the going rate for this print." I think that if you make it really clear that you're willing to pay very close to the market value you will receive a lot more interest from potential sellers and hopefully will be able to obtain what it is you are after.

'Reasonable price' is a fair comment and everyone will know what you mean.
