free print 4 whoeva help me get nxt banksy release, by spanksy on Dec 29, 2007 15:55:39 GMT 1, i will give a orange or blue signed eine smiley face, (or mabye even both) to anyone who helps me get a signed banksy at the next release. i have been unlucky and have not managed to bag one. i am an avid fan and have yet to add a signed banksy to my collection. i am young and at the bottom of the ladder in my job so dont have the sort of funds to bag a second market ebay price but really want one to sit on my wall.
if anyone can offer me one at cost or near now (ridiculous long shot) then i will forever be grateful and will do my best to help you get any print you want. i would like to generate friendships like this forum was built for.

There are alot of great peeps on this board that have offered signed for cost. Hell an old member sorted me a signed Trolley for cost. The best bet is to sit it out. POW will normally send an email or a clue on their homepage before they drop em.

free print 4 whoeva help me get nxt banksy release, by spanksy on Dec 29, 2007 16:11:36 GMT 1, yeh that true mate cheers. but still its such a gamble, if you do get a tip off by pow then the web browser will freeze at the time of the release or something. i will continue to sit it out. just trying to give myself a better chance this time. i hear of these storys of banksys going for cost but never manage to get to one haha. oh well ill just have to keep at it.

I mean it's worth more! That's cool! But the pencil scratch 'banksy' in the bottom corner, eh whatever. It's pretty insignificant. Of course the image and the print itself looks amazing on my wall! I'm sure it would have just as much visual impact with or without the pencil scratch. So I wouldn't stress too much about it. It will be cool if I can get another signed print but I'm not going to break the bank if I don't.

As one of my old mans professors at Cambridge said;- "there are two types of people in this world; 1. those that piss in the sink & 2. those that lie about it"!

Trolley hunters (non colour) is an ideal example. Both look the same (scratch and scribble apart) one cost £250 and sells on ebay for £500 ish and the signed cost £500 and sells on ebay for £3000'ish.
Neg me here if you like but the only reason i would love to get a signed Banksy is so that i could flog it, buy the same print again but unsigned, get a few more from ebay and maybe get a cheap holiday to Palma for the weekend and a Chinese to boot!
I very much doubt that i will ever get a signed one or even a unsigned one at source again but hey if i have to pay £200 over the odds for an unsigned on ebay when there's a glutt it certainly saves me the effort of being glued to the screen and the anxiety caused when there is a release and the protox crash syndrome!

If it is about the art it shouldn't matter if it's signed or not...it's the image you are paying for - in my opinion that IS the signiture.

But the biggest profit is going to be made form those that scored one directly from POW the people that pay £3000 or so for a signed print from ebay are going to have to wait a very very long time imo before they double or triple their money.

I tend to agree with you mammal. Affordability is one thing, but assuming I had £3k rattling around in my piggy bank I would prefer a Pulp Fiction and a Have a Nice Day or maybe a HMW to a signed print for that price.
With Coloured Trollies and S&S only being available as signed this does make it difficult for people who want it for the image only (if there are any of them  )
