Photoshop help., by Deleted on May 4, 2014 22:16:00 GMT 1, I have just installed CS3 on my Mac. I have never used PS,so if anybody can recommend any good books or online tutoring I would be in your debt.
If you have any specific youtube videos can you please post links.

I did Ps at a college 1-2 days a week for a few months to help me on a work project. Good to get "someone over your shoulder" as the learning is qualified. Sure the young people can learn from 'tube but books like "teach yourself visually" photoshop / illustrator helped me to get the basics. I guess once you have the hang of it you just youtube tutorials for whatever you wanna do.

Photoshop help., by Deleted on May 15, 2014 19:07:14 GMT 1, I agree that those visual start guides are pretty great. Just make sure you get one that matches the exact version of PS you have... they sometimes change a lot of small things between versions.

Photoshop help., by searchandrescue on May 15, 2014 22:49:50 GMT 1, yeah, it was really hard for me to learn to begin with, but once you get the knack of it it's just an automated way of doing stuff that would have been done in a dark room, drawing board in the olden days. I benefited from 3-4 hours a week tuition but guess you can learn from scratch nowadays via tutorials.
