He's riding the wave created by a few IG people. Can't hate. But at 1.5k plus framing a smart guy can get a smaller original with a little research.
Bigger is tough on the printer, and makes for a crazy framing cost which no one loves.. popink is amazing and loves this semi standard size. It frames up affordably, looks great, doesn't overwhelm a wall..
To the defense of the release these were much more hands on.. and I missed out lol I would've paid for the right image perhaps

I agree, I believe he has access to some of the bright pigments that kaws uses. So bright they can't be properly captured on a camera or screen. On an unrelated note 2 of kaws new pieces at skarstedt seem heavily Friedman influenced
