"they live" - inspired Shepard?, by gilsteph on May 9, 2014 13:24:57 GMT 1, Just watched a documentary partly about a film called "they live" by John Carpenter from 1988. Its a story of a vagrant finding some sunglasses and putting them on allows him to the see the truth of his reality. As an example all adverts have the word OBEY on them when the glasses were on.
Clearly influenced Shepard and I hadn't heard of it so thought I would share.

Did watch the documentary "Perverts guide to ideology" would definitely recommend that! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pervert's_Guide_to_Ideology
