I don't have an axe to grind in hyping the secondary market value (like Bmerel clearly has). Once again, if these had've been priced correctly from source (Say Β£400 / US$600) then there wouldn't have been this bunfight and it would've realised the artist shit loads more. For me, when things are discounted then there's a reason.

Yeah, but the actual painting itself is impressive and printing technique doesn't discount that when it's the only way to reproduce the image and do it any justice (Parla's Elms series comes to mind).
I wasn't a huge fan of his work (still not gaga as much as some) but seeing his work at the Levine show swung me (and the fiance loved it) so once the hype fizzles a little bit I'll try and add this.

All these little ants trying to give their life a little thrill, a little meaning, a little worth, I'm the same - it's rather sad the more you ponder the behaviour. So dead inside.

Im signed up to that mondo newsletter. Bar some olly moss bits and one or two nice movie posters, there is some complete 'drymounting' (had to use that word) crap on there. Yet it sells out faster than a bullet. It's literally like a hoover and it is impossible for all these to make the walls. These just hit ebay and go into folios.
A few times ive seen something and felt the need to get it. I did that once on there, then after just thought....wtf did i just buy that fucking mummy returns poster for, i dont even fucking like the mummy returns.
