I think it's fine to meaningfully criticise the image, I understand the magazine critique to an extent but an artist who spends 6 months on a painting (whether you like it or not) deserves some credit.

With that said, I was happy to avoid the hype and sit this one out. The image does not resonate with me and would never see my wall.....

I DO happen to love JEM's art and respect ALL artists for putting themselves out there to a bunch of crazy and occasionally judgemental collectors out in the world.
