I'm pretty sure they discussed these OGs on the EB board somewhere.
As for price... well, between 1500-2000 US$ could be right, but only to die hard Geddes fans and speculators. As much as I am in love with his work (mostly non-Cosmo stuff), these "illustration pieces" are not my cup of tea.

You're right! Now registered, but another helpful forum member posted it for me. My, it seems to have gotten friendlier around here since I imposed a ban on myself a while ago.

Look at the Keyes "interlock" piece being offered on here right now. Lots of similarities. Early piece, not the artist's "known"(cosmonauts) subject matter series, originally sold at a similar price. Now being flogged for $5000.
And Geddes' world recognition and acclaim is only just getting off the ground.
I don't expect an offer of more, but it isn't enough to risk kicking myself about in a couple years.

Well, I guess it comes down to: Do you need the money right now? If yes, 3k is a great price and a big win for you. If no, the current value is just something to feel good about.
IMHO, this piece will not go higher than now, as it is not en par with Jem's current stuff/skill. Currently people are willing to pay that much for its speculation value. When the NYC show is here, there will be better pieces than these...

Had no idea that these might have risen in value so much - though suspected they had risen some. Guess I had better get mine behind some glass now, and not just have it leaning on a shelf!
This piece draws so many comments from visitors - not necessarily that they like it, but they recognise the talent.
I love mine. As others have said, fourputt, hope you are happy with whatever you decide to do - it's a lovely little og.
