I bought a plan chest off someone a little while back who got his art framed at a place in North Shields but I can't remember the name so it might be worth a search for framers in that area.
If you find somewhere you're happy with then I'd love a pm because I've got a pile building up that I want to frame but cost is stopping me

I spent a good hour chatting about art and life with Bruce Reid while I chose frame and glass etc and he really took his time to show me some ideas for frames and mounts.
Cost was better than I've paid before and when I picked this piece up I got them to quote me for 2 more that were good prices again.
I'll follow The Outsiders and heartily recommend them too.
