Banksy Morons Signed Print from Barely Legal for sale, by ironic mustache on May 15, 2014 16:20:51 GMT 1, Hi All-
Helping a friend try to sell her signed Moron's print from the Los Angeles Barely Legal show in 2006. For those of you in the know you know that that the prints sold to the general public at the Barely Legal show were not signed and were limited to only 100 prints before they stopped the run. However, there were a few low numbers and proofs that got signed of each of the 6 prints offered at that show. This is one of them. Full Pest Control COA comes with the print.
This print has the gold frame around the auction image that differentiates the LA version from others so this is NOT the sepia version or the POW version

I told her the only way to find out is to put it out there and see what the market dictates. i guess that fact that its a signed one from the Barely Legal show gives it a leg up over the other versions

I think seeing how NOLA and a few others rose up in price gave her the false hope this one would be worth more, however I've always been amazed how pricey some of his prints sell for. I remember almost buying a NOLA for $6k a few years ago (seller backed out) and I thought that was crazy for a print then, now that would be a HUGE deal. I love that image. Anyway, I think she realizes she won't get those numbers for Morons and at this point there doesn't seem to be much interest in the piece, maybe thats a sign she should just leave it hanging on the wall.

I don't think you can read anything into non selling prices of reserve auctions. I know I don't bother with those, when people put reserves on ebay they tend to have unrealistic pricing expectations. There is a lot more interest resulting in higher sale prices when there isn't a reserve. |

Getting an unsigned laugh now at 3500.00 there are a boat load of banks in los angeles. more flippers than collectors.
