Damaged Dolk 'Toy', by Gunny on May 28, 2014 12:37:54 GMT 1, Hi guys, just wanted your thoughts on how fixable this print is. Went to check on my Dolk Toy and noticed it has got damaged in the corner. Can you please give me thoughts on how fixable this is? Please only comment if you have had a print fixed before or have experience in this sort of thing. Thanks for your help and opinions. I have sent the photo off to Graham Bignell for his opinion.

Damaged Dolk 'Toy', by chichi carter on May 28, 2014 12:54:18 GMT 1, You might want to refer to the 'dumbest thing you have done to a print' thread. There is this post where they advise you to be 'very aggressive with the heat and steam' using an iron to take out any wrinkles in a print! Jokes aside, I've managed to take out some very minor creases in a couple of prints that weren't worth a lot using an iron but the kink in your Dolk is something else. Straight through the signature to top it off. I'd say you got in touch with the right person to see if it can be fully restored. I've never used Scott's services but he keeps getting mentioned on here as the top man for restoration. Best of luck to you. I hope everything turns out alright.

The question is whether the paper fibres are torn or just bent. From the photos it doesn't look too bad to me & should be easily flattened...

Damaged Dolk 'Toy', by Gunny on Jul 14, 2014 12:32:37 GMT 1, Hello All, was selling this a while back and pulled it as i couldn't bare to let it go. However, just been offered something else and need to pull in some cash, so I will offer it up again. Tons of people wanted it last time, so those who did and who contact me first will get first refusal. Price is £1000 plus postage and paypal fees. Or pay as a gift. Please no offers, it is a fixed price, thank you. Would rather a UK buyer for ease of postage or pick up.

Damaged Dolk 'Toy', by Deleted on Jul 15, 2014 12:24:13 GMT 1, Hot iron (I would avoid steam) + gentle hand massage + hot iron + massage + hot iron + store flat under big book + more ironing + more hand massage along the fold... and it should look good, mark fold will still be there.

Damaged Dolk 'Toy', by mrchristopherrobinso on Jul 16, 2014 7:27:05 GMT 1, Are you serious?!? Just mat and frame the thing and it will flatten out over time. Why did you even buy the piece? To enjoy it or to keep it in a flat file as an investment? You would have to have some seriously OCD company over to your home that would be like, "That art work is awesome, too bad a tiny corner of it has a slight bend in it... Now the whole image is totally ruined." The OG pieces that I own all have tiny imperfections on them. That is part of having art on display.
