Didn't someone cut up a CYW? Or was that a hoax?

The 'Destroyed/Ruined Banksy Print' Thread, by Rolex on Jun 29, 2014 0:17:06 GMT 1, LOL, is there a link on here for that?. There is a thread on here somewhere, I'll try and find it tomorrow. I've a feeling it eventually sold for a four figure sum! I was offered a GWB signed with about an inch trimmed off to fit in a frame £7k 2010 probably should of bought it.

Funnily enough I was also offered another at the same time but with a dedication on it £5.5k Ouch ! I was surprised that about 1/6 of the pieces at the Laz show had dedications/gift messages on them.
EDIT: Also that Swoon apparently sold the Toxic Mary that Mr. B gifted to her, which I saw on another online gallery.

The 'Destroyed/Ruined Banksy Print' Thread, by Deleted on Jun 29, 2014 0:47:08 GMT 1, Forget prints, what about a ruined canvas… Here's one spectacular example!
I've got a lot of time and love for 'Dave the chimp'... but the person who asked him to add some of his unique artwork which included dirt to give it texture, as well as painting his own monkey image and (ahem) someone sucking a dick onto the canvas in a bid to enrich an original Banksy must be kicking themselves.

The 'Destroyed/Ruined Banksy Print' Thread, by Deleted on Jun 29, 2014 3:46:49 GMT 1, Can you remember which pieces were dedicated dss. The Swoon was at Prescription Gallery, I think.
From the Laz Retrospective:
1. Barcode Leopard, stencilled with the artist’s name; inscribed ...to Jackie “Happy Christmas 2001” ...love Guy on the stretcher; stencilled with the artist’s name on the right lateral edge acrylic and spraypaint stencil on canvas 76.5 by 76.5cm.; 30 by 30in. Executed in 2001, this work is unique. Loan - please contact S|2
2. Keep It Real , stencilled with the artist’s name on the right lateral edge; inscribed ‘Yvette! Thanks for everything Banks’ on the backing board acrylic and spraypaint stencil on canvas 30 by 30cm.; 117⁄8 by 117⁄8in. Executed in 2003. Loan - please contact S|2
Maybe I overestimated.

I remember this one, the forum member himself is an artist. Don't know if it got recovered though?

The 'Destroyed/Ruined Banksy Print' Thread, by mouser on Jun 29, 2014 11:50:57 GMT 1, I had a framed S&S delivered that had been kicked through by the royal mail, they did try to deny the damage had been caused in transit too.... refused to sign for it and sent it back to the sender, who not only replaced it he managed to successfully claim back for the damage through they claims dept. I know that one would never be re-used.

You were lucky there Mouser, sounds like the seller was a decent sort.

The 'Destroyed/Ruined Banksy Print' Thread, by mouser on Jun 29, 2014 14:07:50 GMT 1, Aye it was a nightmare one that, I sent them 4 failes they got mashed up too, so had to claim from my end on those... ended up having to get a signed statment from the depot manager confirming they were suitably packaged and fit for shipping before they accepted them. I too got a settlement. It all worked out in the end. Not a great couple of months though.
