The 'Destroyed/Ruined Banksy Print' Thread, by Deleted on Jun 28, 2014 14:09:37 GMT 1, Here's the idea; I thought it would be interesting to know how many of the Banksy prints have already been lost/destroyed either due to accident, misplacement, etc. as I've seen and heard so many stories about these particular prints getting thrown in the bin by accident. It'd be cool to figure out how many of each edition have already met their maker.
Feel free to share your stories, if you have any. Actual proof/backup would be nice so we can know the story is real, and actually count it to the list as a definite. We can keep a running tally of destroyed/lost prints in this thread as they come (and maybe figure out existing edition numbers!).
EDIT: Also print details would be nice if available, i.e. signed vs. unsigned, print #, so on.

I mean, I figure there can't be much harm if the print has been confirmed as destroyed. If anything it would prevent treachery?

Agree it would be very useful to know the stolen numbers, would be great to be able to check when buying.
In one way knowing the numbers of destroyed pieces would work out well by outing any potential fakes but at the same time someone could use that info to knock up a replica of a piece that's not going to turn up and catch them out
