Hope you..., by kittysaz on Jul 10, 2014 10:12:08 GMT 1, Firstly I would to say that I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my views. Absolutely never the intention. Those who know me would confirm that I'm not that sort of person.
But I am deeply and passionately committed to what I do. And I thought it would be ok to mention my opinion.
In terms of the art, and this forum, I love my relatively recent hobby and find this forum at times funny and informative. There are the occasional blips but that's just life.

Hope you..., by Deleted on Jul 10, 2014 10:20:14 GMT 1, I havent been around that long so ive nothing to compare to, not even sure if im part of the issue but since ive joined ive met a lot of decent people, there is a lot of hyping(not you ling;)) and bitchin but theres more good than bad imo, shared knowledge, street works, humour etc etc, theres a handfull of members who if they left i would prob head off myself, but def more good than bad

Kitty, I don't think you have anything to apologise for.
You work within the criminal justice system. But within that system, in the UK, we have the separation of the judiciary from the police. Quite rightly so. The judiciary rightly criticise the police when they get it wrong. I can see no ethical (or other) problem with you, as a police officer, criticising judicial sentencing.
I'm still thinking about how I feel about my friend wearology's post.

The money thing pemeates everywhere, an insidious creeping greed that twists our perception and distorts our perspective. everyone in the know wants a piece , but in a few years, maybe no one in the know will want a piece. Thats is when the arriviste vulture vermin who announce their arrival on here with a curt demand for signed GWB will feck off to wherever the next carcass can be found to strip
although not before trying to unload their awful ยฃ20K cost CYW as the fear hits them that they really dont want to live with this for the rest of their shallow lives.

What he has done is horrific theres no two ways about, he has made so many people suffer, in this country there is no punishment strong enough for people like him!!!

Absolutely Johnny. That was the gist of the remainder of my post. Kitty can and should speak out if she feels sentencing is wrong. In fact, she is better placed (more informed) than the rest of us to do so, I suspect.
I just didn't want you thinking happymeal had spoken out of turn saying what kitty's job is, as she has been quite open about it. It's certainly a job I don't think I could do, and I have loads of respect for her for doing it. I hope she puts as many predatory men (and in some cases women) behind bars as possible.

I have been wanting to say this for the past 12 months, but have found myself biting my tongue because of my position on this forum but I can no longer just sit by and watch what's happening here without saying anything. Our forum has lost it's way a bit recently and we should nip it in the bud before it gets even more out of control. There are so many great forum members on here, but it seems that we are allowing the handful of members whose only purpose is to start trouble, antagonize, profiteer & bully other forum members represent our community. When I used to meet people and talk about the forum they always had great things to say how it was an amazing launching pad for new artists or a chance to get a good insider price on a piece of street art or a heads up on a undisclosed release or an upcoming art event. Now when I talk about the forum to people they say that place is over run by arseholes who love to bully or so many people have multiple IP addresses and they are only on there to talk up or talk down art so they can manipulate the price or most people aren't there for the art they are there for the potential to make money. I believe that there are several factors that have led to this occurrence and 90% of it has to do with the high stakes money that is now involved that was not an issue just a few years ago. I have definitely fallen prey to this myself and have sold way too much art on here & EBAY for profit over the past 12 months. Is it possible to just get back to the art or has the combination of Banksy's daily sky rocketing prices on the secondary market, his lack of releases the past few years and just the overall economic climate of our scene just gotten too out of hand. I am curios to know your thoughts because other people I bet feel the same way as I do but are just afraid to publicly state the obvious.
Underhand dealing and tactics have been part of this forum since day 1 (albeit a smaller group of people) Now it's well known and for those with eyes wide open it's plain to see.
Back in the day people pi55ed and moaned about bots hoovering up releases.Popular members would then off-load prints before they arrived etc,etc. And now ermmm the same things still happen

No. I may be a police officer I am also a human being who is entitled to have a opinion on something I deal with every day, and have dealt with for 12 years of my 25 year service this far. The system is flawed. But it is all we have. We are also still working with 80 year old law on child cruelty but then again it's all we have. Just because of my job do I have to think such a system is good? No. I don't. But I work with what I have. All I am is an impartial gatherer and collector and presenter of evidence. Juries make the decisions. I hold life in the upmost regard. All life. I don't know if I'm blessed or cursed to NOT want RH to suffer a slow painful death or get raped himself. Those are black dark wishes to think off. They come from not a good place. I also hold the police in high regard. I'm not one of these A.C.A.B 'hard' dudes but it does let me down when I see members of the police, who I believe should be the best human beings because their job IS so hard and SO important. No, you didn't say exactly that the system is crap. You said that you are regularly devastated by the sentences and that you where sickened. Don't know where I got the crap thing from?  I still stand by everything I said. The post you made that I've quoted here I would have liked as your first post on this subject is all, and I would like fellow members to not wish other people dead. I'm just a human being too who feels like and agrees a little too much with what Wearology said afterwards, hence my daft rant to begin with. I don't mean to cause you any pain kittysaz. It's very easy to imagine how hard and painful your job is and it may be impossible to remain undamaged by it all. Yet still we love life.
