TOM TOM RECEIPT QUESTION! HELP NEEDED, by foreman on Jan 11, 2008 2:27:14 GMT 1, Hey,
so i recently bought a bomb hugger off ebay and the seller claims to have bought it from TOM TOM in 2005. im having a little trouble getting info on tom tom because they are now art republic .. my question is the seller sent me a picture of this receipt...

has anyone who has ever bought from tom tom in the past seen this receipt? he sent me a photocopy of his cc receipt but this is something that could easily be photoshopped.
i emailed dora asking if this particular number was registered to tom tom but she is yet to get back to me .... any info about this receipt would be great as im unsure about it authenticity..

Can't remember who it was though.
There's a real good chance your print is registered to Tom Tom at POW - as they were authorised POW dealers for a while, but even if it's not - there's no reason to worry as they also sold on prints as well.

I have purchased a few banksy prints from Tom Tom and i have the same receipt and on a couple of prints i didnt get anything at all 
I also know that they used the jamie reid postcard also as a receipt as s friend has one with his print.
Back then it wasnt an issue as no one really knew he would become so popular.
Tom Tom did sell on a lot of prints thats a fact ,so yeah, no need to worry.

I'm hoping to go up tomorrow to give them their trophy, if not sat then monday. What shall I ask Jam? I know that Tom tom prov is fairly worthless on its own, you will need to know edition number and they will confirm if they sold it to tom tom, with that confirmation you then have prov if you can prove your print was from tom tom.

HELP NEEDED, by shameless69 on Jan 11, 2008 23:58:03 GMT 1, Hey - dont know if this helps - I bought 5 prints from TomTom during the years 2003-2005 - I never got provenance with all of my prints but the ones that I did get prov for I got a Sex Pistols card or a written slip.Hope that this helps.

I am new here. I was in Tom Tom on 7th Jan. I was talking about buying from ebay with the lady in the shop and she said to be careful and showed me a picture on her computer of an alledged Tom Tom compliments slip. Anyway she was checking with her boss but pretty sure that it wasn't real. Anyway I don't have any more info but check with Tom Tom as they seemd like they would be helpful.
BTW I brought some Dr D prints, mock underground posters, quite fun! Also just got my B&W trolleys framed (my first Banksy) and it looks great. Will try and post a picture in the gallery soon.

When I asked for prov last year they were not very helpful & didnt know what The TomTom prov looked like as there are quite a few cards/ Comp slips/paper etc - If your that bothered about buying check with P.O.W first - they can verify for you.
