I would advise them that you are going to small claims first off all , just to see of they want to sort it out

I think AF is about right, but if you send a representative round (I often rely on a contact known as 'Hairy Bill') you might find that at least your face doesn't appear on their CCTV. #not really, but it's what comes to mind!
You could always contact your insurer - you might find that you have protection for pieces that are "off site"

You desperately need a receipt or something an email etc where they state they have it or had it.
If you have nothing and I assume they are saying they never had it I think you will struggle as you have nothing that says they have it. So unless you know the number of the piece etc I think you have very little reason to claim they have it or had it (legally). If there is nothing to say or imply they had it.

Moneyclaim.gov will let you put in a small claims for about ยฃ50, which you'll get back if you win.
Check they are still trading though!

Over the years I made a number of calls to see what was going on but eventually gave up. The piece was gorgeous and the frame alone cost me nearly ยฃ300, I was gutted to sell it but shouldn't have bothered my ass as it appears I just gave a print away to a gallery for free. It was about 4 feet tall with loads of hand finishing, not the keyfoods piece, this was on the usual thick Faile paper stock. I am assuming there isn't much I can do about it now? I know I am a bit slow to act but I hate dealing with this kind of crap. Ta'
Is this the edition that you mean? If so, if BRP no longer has it, someone here might know the current owner who in turn might be able to provide evidence that they bought it from BRP. What was the edition number? Was it actually number 1 from the edition? Edition of 5 or 6?
