The horse's head is completely different and that kinda takes away from the interest for me.

I agree to the extent that I loved the 'Predator' wall (at least the photos of it I've been able to see) and its scale contributed to its power. But I also love the print. For me, it's a very successful screen print of a very powerful image. And I have no problem with the print being different - even elementally - from the wall on which it's based. No problem at all: in fact, I prefer it that way, since this grants uniqueness to the print. To me it's all about the success (or lack thereof) of the new way of expressing the image. 'Predator' was successful. From the looks of it, 'Musashi' is not. |

Regarding Predator - Grayscale images and word overlay are two of my favorite elements in his work, both of which are left out of the print. For me, it makes the image feel lighter. I agree that a print can differ from a wall and still be successful, but for me personally, it would have been that much better.
