FS: Everything you need to set up as a picture framer, by Deleted on Aug 3, 2014 9:20:03 GMT 1, Hi everyone,
I have decided (sadly) that I am not going to leave the comfort of my day job any time soon and so I am going to sell my picture faming equipment that I have in storage.
I set myself up briefly as a picture framer (at weekends only) and I'm now looking to sell everything on. All the equipment has 2 years usage maximum (2 days per week max) and is in near perfect condition.
As well as all the relevant tools and supporting equipment I have:
- a Morso F-operated Mitring Guillotine + left hand extension table + additional blades (for cutting the wood)
- a Cassese CS199 pneumatic underpinner (for joining the wood)
- a Keencut Ultimat Gold 48" mountcutter
- a Fletcher FTC Glass H/Board cutter 60"
- a Bambi twin head silent compressor 50 litre (for firing the pins of the underpinner and for blowing dust/particles from frame/glass
- an aluminium table base for storing artwork/folders
This is all top of the range stuff and I'm initially looking to sell the lot to someone who wants a change of career.
I'm going to put it all on the bay too eventually but thought I'd offer it first here.
I 'might' consider trades but only Micallef, Opie, Banksy, Neate, KAWS (although the missus wants me to put the money towards a new kitchen )
Any questions, please drop me a PM.
Thanks John

FS: Everything you need to set up as a picture framer, by searchandrescue on Aug 3, 2014 12:49:10 GMT 1, Good luck with sale, hope it all works out. I'm no business expert but some of the enterprises I was involved with have drawn to a close. It is always disappointing but it's how you cope going forward that counts. Ok, so it's back to your day job for now, but there'll be something maybe a few months / years down the line that sparks your passion. It's just a case of being patient. You'll probably have learn't a lot and gained some experience so it's never all bad. What I'm doing for now is going well (fingers crossed!) but it didn't come without a number of painful 'failures' / steep learning curves.

( Instagram and group shows via fairs are impacting what was once a buoyant market , now the interior decorators are the main business flow for some)
Hope your new venture goes well ,
All the best
