Beware Adam Neate Possible Fake on ebay, by Gallery Grace on Jan 15, 2008 3:07:54 GMT 1, This seller is claming he has no idea who the artist is..
but yet he has managed to think up the name Adam Neate to put in his title.
The seller does not know the history of the piece.. but yet his friend gave it to him and his friend happens to be from London.
Funny that happens to be where Adam leaves his work.
ebay item number 280192342790
The piece does resemble some of Adams early work but I would be careful about bidding on this piece as the seller clearer does not know any thing but seems to know every thing.
Do your research there has been Adam Neat Fakes on eBay already

Beware Adam Neate Possible Fake on ebay, by giiiant on Jan 15, 2008 12:52:40 GMT 1, Either really old or really fake, and it's almost certainly the latter.
On a side note, that other Adam Neate that caused a fuss before, did that turn out to be real or fake? Looks fake but then a while later I saw a video about Adam Neate that showed him putting what looked to be that exact piece on the street.

I read on a website somewhere this week that when AN leaves his pieces on the street he (paraphrased as I can't find the site now) "meticulously photographs each piece and puts the pictures on his website". I then went to adamneate.co.uk to see if there was a pic but the site looks as if it's been decommissioned. Does AN not have his own official site anymore?
I asked the seller if there was a signature or any kind of symbol on the piece he's selling and also why, if he knows nothing about it, he is attributing it to AN.
He replied: Hello, thanks for your interest. there are no signatures or symbols. i probably should of stated that iv had about 9emails asking me ha, sorry. as for its history, i know very little. he was at uni in london so he could of picked it up anywhere, im trying to get in contact with him to find out. but he currently lives in the states. i'll get back to you if when i can.
Sounds well dodgy. The guy sounds like he's done enough research to be a) as vague as possible but b) to simultaneously make enough of the right sounds as possible. I'm going for this being a fake, albeit quite a good looking one.
