First time matting and framing print myself., by Sic on Aug 8, 2014 19:12:30 GMT 1, I've been wanting to mat and frame a few of my inexpensive pieces myself. Today I struck out to do just that. This is my very first mat and frame job. Its not perfect, but I learned a lot and enjoyed myself. I'm looking forward to putting a few more of all the great tips and tricks I learn from this forum to use. Cheers!

I've been thinking about self-framing some of my cheaper pieces - any tips on where to begin? There's thousands of tutorials out there but I trust this forum a lot more!

Yeah it's Ravi Zupas first print, back from his show at subliminal projects that Shepard Fairey put on. The bottom right corner you can see the obey giant star. It is a great piece, still my favorite of all my prints. My advise to start self framing is to go out and buy a mat cutter and just start experimenting, from there you can start to perfect the craft. Like you said, these guys on the forum have a lot of great advise.
