Ebay now takes 10% of your postage charge when you sell., by tartarus on Aug 12, 2014 8:54:01 GMT 1, I don't know if I'm the only one to take almost a year to work this out. Sold a few bits over the weekend, noticed my seller fees looked higher than 10% and checked the details. Cheeky fuckers have taken a "final value fee" of 10% of the amount i charged for postage!!
I may have been slow to notice, but thought it might be worth pointing out!
Ebay seem to be out scamming the scammers these days!

Pretty greedy, but I suppose as was mentioned above eBay realised people were charging well over the odds for postage (basically the price of the item) and a 1p start on the product to avoid their fees. Postage is expensive enough with RM being privatised and changing their costs, what they will and won't ship and all their rules and regulations. Some things just aren't worth selling on eBay any more, with postage they work out more expensive.

Still a good site to shift stuff, but sometimes the effort is not worth the reward for low value items. They do seem to wave listing fees more these days so at least you don't pay to list things that don't sell

They only protect buyers, never the sellers.
They take around 12 %, 15% now on a sale.
Yes, maybe it is some put very high qhipping fees, but the reality is that Post offices are very expensives too, all over the world. They forget that !

Same as auction houses with their many fees for this and that, even if not sold, its always a pain but where would sellers attract the sort of international market without them?.
