Dolk, Whatson, John Doe delivered in New York, by lvanhoe on Aug 20, 2014 23:22:23 GMT 1, Well I do mind people creating a shitload of threads in which they try to sell the same overpriced stuff over and over again. Put that shit on ebay and don't make me click on these threads every time only to find that it's the same guy selling the same shit again for the same gallery prices. And now he's even having his own auction!

Dolk, Whatson, John Doe delivered in New York, by lvanhoe on Aug 20, 2014 23:31:22 GMT 1, Nobody is making me click but I'm an active buyer so I do click every for sale thread. It's extremely annoying to find the same guy selling his overpriced shit for the zillionth time. What you are saying is that it's not against the rules to make a new topic for your stuff every day and have your own personal ebay here? Well if that's the case the rules need to be rewritten.

Dolk, Whatson, John Doe delivered in New York, by alittle on Aug 20, 2014 23:44:03 GMT 1, If a thread falls off the front page, or some asshole starts shitting on your prices, yeah, it is common place to start a new thread. Unless solicited, keep your negative pricing opinions to yourself in the for sale forum.

What you are saying is that it's not against the rules to make a new topic for your stuff every day and have your own personal ebay here? Well if that's the case the rules need to be rewritten. Thanks for all the love and tenacity in commenting my last posts. It's to much. It really is.
You feel I'm to busy making money when selling my art, something that must be very annoying for a bargain hunter like yourself. I'm sure nothing is more aggravating when someone is actually making a dime on art because this hinders you to make a bargain. Please let me quote you on something you wrote earlier in a thread regarding building your own art storage system:
Now, I have absolutely ZERO experience here but I don't want to make any mistakes. I know I most definitely will but I just want to minimize the risk of doing something that could damage the prints I'm buying. Could someone tell me, step by step, what and where I should order to make this happen? Please assume: - I'm a total newbie and have zero knowledge about this. - I have a fairly wide budget so no need to go for cheaper options. - I have the space to set up something good, no limits here. - I could very well see myself having over 50 prints in storage at some time as it's also going to serve as an investment.Considering all these things, what would you recommend me to buy? If someone could provide like a grocery list for the newly born art collector, alongside with places/sites to order these things, I'd be really happy. Can you spell "hypocrisy"?
It's fairly obvious to me that you try to harass members to conform to your needs as a buyer by hang them out as investor and speculators but in the end you are in it for the investment as much as anyone. That is dishonest and a dickass move. There a members in here that are here for the art only, but you my friend are not.

Dolk, Whatson, John Doe delivered in New York, by Deleted on Aug 21, 2014 13:01:27 GMT 1, Why exactly am i paying monthly bills on an advertising banner to direct people to my website/stock, I might as well just list all my stock on here, same goes for black apple, graffiti street, graffiti prints etc. Relax Dan I've no intention of stopping the advertising, happy to help support the forum, but a question non the less?

You trade art therefore you're in the trade, you're listing your stock you have for sale, a legitimate question in regards to your sales thread, I'm not knocking your works for sale or the prices just putting the question out there to higher forces as to the reasoning for all the traders who pay advertising when they could simply list their stock, maybe something that needs to be considered.

Some "Galleries" do just that Andy ..... But that is the difference between a "open market" sale and a gallery sale right? .. Well ... it used to be... "Back in the day". When there was still a big difference between gallery and open market prices. I think commercial sales are different than the open market sales.. don't know why, can't explain it but they just are. Otherwise they would have the same name.
Nonetheless.... good question @andy3636!
Note : By going off-topic i guess Press Play will open another salethread selling his stuff very soon, hope everybody realizes that.

Dolk, Whatson, John Doe delivered in New York, by Press Play on Aug 21, 2014 13:35:14 GMT 1, Hopefully you reach more people than the members of this forum with your website. As a gallery you are able to demand more than the average hobby seller. You probably also have a larger network than the average member. This should be your advantage. Banksyforum should just be one of many markets you operate in. As probably the biggest forum for urban/street art it seems to me as a logical place to advertise for your website. Do that advertising help you? I don't know, it's up to you to decide.

That is a very interesting question Castle. I guess it depends...
Some "galleries" appear to be just online entities while others are brick and mortar. The B&M come on the forum to plug their shows or when they offer a discount, release a new print, etc. So to be fair the Online galleries should be able to do the same. But endlessly plugging inventory would be tiresome to read over time, esp when stock and prices don't change.
I always thought it weird how galleries that are members show off their "latest art buys", I'm never sure if they are just plugging their inventory in disguise. If they're a gallery why are we impressed that they have nice stuff, it's their job!! lol

Yes the website reaches a bigger audience than the forum, I'll not get into whether I could demand higher prices than you price them wherever you want, it is a logical place to advertise but I reckon if I just posted for sales threads regularly with my stock and a link to the website alongside regular banter posts whereby the Castle Gallery Logo is advertised alongside each post it would work just as well. It isn't a direct attack on you, your thread just raised the question, it happens a lot.

Just to be clear in terms of the latest art buys, I only post works which I bought for myself not for resale, I reckon if I started posting everything I have for sale and what I buy I'd become pretty unpopular very quick
