Giveaways - Ideas on how to do them on the forum..., by Deleted on Aug 26, 2014 15:37:14 GMT 1, It seems some people don't like that the forum gets "clogged up" with free giveaways (personally, I love them). So maybe we should figure out another way to do them? Here's an idea, but I'd love to hear more...
Start a UAA Instagram or Facebook account. Anyone who wants to do a giveaway contacts the person (or persons) who moderates the account with their giveaway. Then it would get posted on IG or FB, and one post is placed on the forum with a link to the giveaway. That way, the link gets "clogged" up, not the forum.

The number list thing makes it easy as all OP needs is a number generator and he doesnt need to fart around creating a list himself. Personally doesnt bother me at all, i dont use the new posts section (active threads man)!
Having a moderator of a new account would be a pain for someone.

Giveaways - Ideas on how to do them on the forum..., by Deleted on Aug 26, 2014 16:07:03 GMT 1, It's not so much the giveaways I have a problem with, the current one which GP is running isn't so bad as it only requires an "I'm in" or whatever - my problem are the ones with lists of numbered entries which can run to 100+ entrants and cause endless amounts of scrolling to get through, even worse when some numbnuts decides to double space them...
Maybe we can stick to the "I'm in" variety in the future?
That's my £0.02 worth.

It's normally always for good charity / get an artist out there / ect
