I can see the first wave of flipped sets going into your predicted future price and possibly beyond. That's way out of my comfort zone for any new record.
The album is good, but not that good and certainly not as outstanding as some of his past albums.
Although I like some of the flashback tracks and nods to the past I was expecting something a little more groundbreaking and experimental with this new release (future music so to speak, new sounds and ideas). It's almost like a lot has been sitting on the back burner for the past 13 years, or maybe that's the idea. All in all a good solid album but I personally don't think it lives up to all the hype that's surrounding it at present.

Numerous stylistic references to the past but very solid nonetheless. It's going to take me a few more listens before I can identify my personal stand out tracks. I'll probably have to refer to them as 'track 2 on side E' or whatever because those song titles are just ridiculous! |
