Camera insurance, by tommm9 on Sept 2, 2014 14:30:39 GMT 1, My sister needs to insure her 6D and lenses as she has a tendency to leave things on buses. Just wondering if anyone on here has any recommendations for insurance companies? Preferably one that will pay out without too much hassle! Any advice much appreciated! Cheers

Camera insurance, by gatecrasher on Sept 6, 2014 15:54:35 GMT 1, Alot of UK bank accounts have gear insurance with them. Might be cheaper to upgrade her account than take out separate insurance.

Which L did you get? Got a few myself. Been also having some fun taking old lenses and stripping the coatings off, also unseating the mount to create some really nice light leaks.

Yeah technically it's lens whacking
Nice choice of lens, I just briefly looked at it. Is is 2.8 all the way through?
Been also shooting a lot of Tilt / Shift lenses lately, love the look can be a pain if you have a lot of movement.
Lenses are fun addiction... Don't buy to many too fast, as your preferences will change. Buy a good fast utilitarian lens and then research, research, research.
I also shoot alot of PL mount cameras (Video / Film) and play around with a lot of Zeiss and Cooke lenses which are just SOO beautiful.

Nice, I use a 5D, but have recently reverted back to shooting film. Kind of why I like screen prints versus giclee. Its the imperfections that make it... Perfect.
Doing a lot of lomography with 120 film and also shooting super 8mm film and enlarging the frames as if they still photos. I probably should scan some and post online.
I am not a pro still guy, but you'll probably want to invest in some HQ clear filters and polarizers (forgive me if you already have).
