iPhone 6 & 6 Plus , by Deleted on Sept 22, 2014 11:59:37 GMT 1, I have had every iPhone as they were released. Usually bought on the first day of release. I still have an iPhone 5 (though I held onto my 4 for a while). No matter what anyone here says, I refuse to hear that these are not terrible phones. Their connectivity to networks is notoriously patchy, they have a track record of calls failing, their antenna are weaker than many competitors'. Soโฆ whilst I absolutely buy the seamless connectivity with computer and data issue is a major selling point - and this is key to me as a mac user, so it's primarily why I still use iPhones - I see these devices as mini computers with phones attachedโฆ hence my firm, unshakeable opinion that the phone part of them is s**te. They are, however, a triumph of marketing and I, as are millions of others, am suckered. Blaming network contention and data issues are mostly your service area and base network service provider, not the hardware. At least in the states signal strength and data now are non issues where hardware is concerned and all about provider coverage and non wifi data quality/speed.
I was in a major mobile phone chain on Sunday and had to wait half an hour because of the queue of people buying iPhone 6s!
I am a fan of good product and I'm using an iPad to type this, but I've never owned an iPhone. I asked the shop manager what they are like and he said 'Look at the queue, extraordinary, especially as they break more often than other type of phone we sell.'

That's interesting since the latest study I read (from 2013) had Samsung with more problems by nearly a factor of 3.

You might be right overall, just quoting the CarPhoneWarehouse manager and his store's experience. He cited the screens as particularly problematic.

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus , by banana-fana-fo-fadra on Sept 24, 2014 16:02:05 GMT 1, my husband has been a severe steve jobs/apple fanboy since his mom got him an apple II (used) as a child, so he got the 6 and is very happy with itโฆI'm sticking with my 5s because i have small hands and was disappointed when they announced two larger phones. never had any issues with any of our apple devices, no viruses or errors on my 6+ yo iMac which cannot be said about the windows running brand new dell crap piles my former employer filled our office with last year.

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus , by umphreak on Sept 25, 2014 21:25:03 GMT 1, So through 6 days, MILLIONS of sales and apparently there have been a total of NINE people who reported problems.
We have a dude on YouTube physically TRYING to bend the phone and this seems to have created a media storm about nothing. Now, if there was an actual issue of phones bending in someone's FRONT pocket, i'd say there was a major problem. But if someone sits on their damn phone or actually TRIES to bend it--good lord, how stupid do you have to be? Maybe someone should take an iPhone and slam it in a car door. OMG--the glass broke!?! APPLE SUCKS! THIS IS THE END OF APPLE!
You'd figure the media would go back to focusing on the important issues--you know, like how Obama dared to salute someone holding his cup of tea.

They have been pretty bad with the iOS bugs lately. They even botched the first update. I'm lucky with my iOS upgrade on my phone, but others have not.

I never up date right away because they always seem to have problems in the first few week of the update release.

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus , by umphreak on Sept 26, 2014 15:56:36 GMT 1, LOL--so now those "bendgate" videos are being looked into closely. Apparently the "after" version of the bent phone shows a time on the screen that is around 30 minutes BEFORE the time shown while he is actually trying to bend the phone. People suspect he bent them back and forth to make it look like it bent easier than it actually did. Shenanigans!!!
