Kaws Presenting The Past Print , by daveart on Oct 2, 2014 20:59:15 GMT 1, i am surprised too .. but there are probably a lot of prints in shopping carts while people try to figure out how to wire funds! in fairness to kaws this was actually noted in their email yesterday. but honestly.. i didnt read it closely enough. 'Authorization and Prepayment required via bank wire. '

Kaws Presenting The Past Print , by Matt-lock on Oct 2, 2014 21:20:17 GMT 1, I think by not taking CC they excluded a lot of potential buyers. But I think it's pretty clear why they did it...even on the low end they would absorb a 3% cc fee for every transaction. Only incoporating the regular edition of 250 at 3% they're saving almost $30k by not accepting them.

These guys are charging $300 shipping.. for something most places charge $50 for. i think they can pay some financial processing fees. but that's just one man's humble opinion.

Kaws Presenting The Past Print , by cmodart on Oct 3, 2014 1:16:17 GMT 1, This is a great piece. I really struggled with this. Got on the site at 12:01 and put one in the cart, went all the way to check out and then bagged it. I am sort of imagining 50 of these things going on eBay tomorrow. Love my SpongeBob, but I think this print is so fully priced and there are so many flippers that it might feel a little overexposed, And a little less special.
I did decide to spend the $3400 I had allocated mentally on some great art tho!
I am sure I will regret it in a month, but just didn't feel right today. Kudos to everybody who bought one. Frame it and put it on the wall.

I did not because I thought all the flipping might make it feel less special when it's framed and on the wall. Play nice name-caller

Surely there is no profit to be made on this print for the so called flippers? I don't see why any would end up on eBay as everyone who wanted one had plenty of time to buy one. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think a single print from the portfolio set has ended up on eBay

It doesn't matter. For the record there are about 10 "ups and downs" and at least 2 "presenting the past" at $5k on the bay. I sell stuff on there so I'm not bashing it.
My only point was to say I did not buy it. The combination of the price, the large edition, and the amount of probable reselling was a bit much for me. The Conor Harrington print (about 20 on eBay) has been ridiculous.

Edit: found them - if anyone else is selling at a reasonable price -get at me.
I have been looking to pick off one or two of these but it seems like everyone wants a very high price to bust up the set. Personally, I think the composition and proportion of the ups and downs are more attractive than the recent print, but it's all great work!

Kaws Presenting The Past Print , by mitboi on Oct 12, 2014 3:34:11 GMT 1, seeking some tips from you guys who are familiar with shipping/posting prints.
i got the presenting the past print and am trying to figure out how to get the thing from north america to asia. To ship it flat via fedex would be like 700usd and the size is too large for USPS.
is shipping in a poster tube an option? can the paper stock be rolled up? should i protect the print with glassine or acid free tissue paper?! any tips would be helpful, please advise, thanks!

Depends how much you sold it for! if it's double send it flat absorb the costs, if at cost still send it flat and the buyer pays but these prints should not be rolled at all will only damage the paper and paint and will be worth nothing.
