Unsigned morons for ยฃ2500 on GAT, by Deleted on Sept 23, 2014 14:05:47 GMT 1, I like your site, really well done
One slight critique, could you ask the peoples that have their stuff on there to put the prices on, there are a couple of overseas galleries that have not. It may just be me, But it does irritate.
i know the market is fluid, just wanted to mention it.
Good luck, there are lots of pretty pictures

Unsigned morons for ยฃ2500 on GAT, by Poster Bob on Sept 23, 2014 14:15:02 GMT 1, I agree. Let's face it, most of the prices on the site are ludicrous and a good deal higher than gallery prices; a good number of the pieces now are listed by galleries, but it is so annoying to ask for the price of a print, especially when it is not a coveted item, rare as hens' teeth to be told that they want 50% more than market value. I put a high value on transparency.

Unsigned morons for ยฃ2500 on GAT, by Global Art Traders on Sept 23, 2014 14:24:41 GMT 1, Thanks for the opinions, noted. When we originally set out creating the site, we were going to insist on prices for everything, however we soon realized this would not work with galleries. Many galleries like personal contact with people and create a personal relationship. Asking for enquiries simply starts that process off. When pieces of art are being sold at such high prices, i feel a personal contact is always reassuring for both parties. Don't forget galleries have a lot of overheads and they also have VIP lists, so it is good to create a personal relationship with them. Rare pieces of art are often offered to people who they have a personal relationship with. What i am saying is, yes a price would be good, but not the end of the world. If you think you can afford it why not get in touch and ask about the price, you might be pleasantly surprised at the outcome, I know I have been on a few occasions.
Quite a few galleries do state price on a lot of items and most private sellers do also, so a bit for everyone.
We hope you enjoy the site. It would be great to see more self representing artists and emerging artists llisting their wares. We all might find a little gem! Cheers all

I would agree with you if the art being sold was primary, but not secondary sales. ( I am really talking Banksy sales)
Even a headline price, so we could contact and try to do a little haggling would be cool.
Question, If I contact these POA galleries... hopefully a POA gallery can answer...... should I talk cockney or Plummy to get the best price?
Again great site, just my point of view

Sounds good to me, I'd be tempted tbh if it wasn't in Aus ie import/shipping etc but a good price especially for someone from the land of roos!

I tried to sell mine on a little while ago ( June/July?) and had a world of sub 2K offers- and I mean offensive ones. only 2 people came up with anything over 2k and that wasnt much over 2K either. this was an immaculate unframed/ never framed morons with PC.I have seen about 20 different morons - Them torn edges look super s**t after about 2 handlings - mine was immaculate.
Morons is not a top drawer unsigned print - 2.5 is like gallery price IMO( as per the listing innit ) . Its a good deal for austraklians,as it is a wealthy country
