Banksy Original at Auction smashes reserve, by fattyramone on Sept 25, 2014 23:48:37 GMT 1, I knew these kind of terms exist , but does anyone know how they came about to be accepted practice?
How enforceable are they?
These are the terms I mean .....
"Artist's Resale Right ("Droit de Suite"). Artist's Resale Right Regulations 2006 apply to this lot, the buyer agrees to pay us an amount equal to the resale royalty provided for in those Regulations, and we undertake to the buyer to pay such amount to the artist's collection agent."

I didn't realise that it was being collected in the UK too.
Must be some new EU directive.
I disagree that the buyer has to pay the percentage.
It would be better if the seller paid the percentage.

Banksy Original at Auction smashes reserve, by hnkpnk on Sept 26, 2014 11:37:33 GMT 1, It says "This work is accompanied by a Pest Control Certificate of Authencity." and "Executed in 2004"
But isn't this a strange signature for 2004?

Banksy Original at Auction smashes reserve, by mmmike on Sept 26, 2014 16:27:19 GMT 1, One of my least fav banksy pieces that I've ever seen. It looks like a bad knock off. Kind of boring as as well. I can think of a lot of other things I'd rather have for that kind of money. Lucky seller.

Banksy Original at Auction smashes reserve, by Deleted on Sept 26, 2014 20:21:21 GMT 1, Well whoever bought it looks at it as an investment.
Brand Banksy is very bankable and established now like Warhol, Koons and such. Not sure about Hirst being investable though but Hirst is also a brand.
I saw a coypu the other day.
