I checked E&C early this morning when I got the release email and there were 144 matte black prints available. Just checked again, almost 12 hours later, and there's still 132 available. So, a dozen sold in 12 hours. The price is just way too high for an edition this large. I really wanted the print, too, but can't justify it.
The edition is huge, the price is high, there was a pre-sale but one color was not mentioned, lots of galleries popping up and selling for above release cost.... All looks a bit weird M This. Yeah I agree, I'm a big Eine fan, but already owning a few I just could not justify the price. If it had been $300usd I would have snatched it up seconds on release. It's beautiful and I might have taken the plunge if I did not have any already. Got a feeling these will be available for a bit.

Just wondering do any of the top artists that have editions that take a long time to sell ever reduce their price?
I know galleries might reduce them with 10% off, but just wondered if the artist publisher ever reduces them.

Prints are supposed to be "affordable", unless it is a small edition, in which case there is justification for a steep price. But the edition size of this is so high it makes the price ridiculous.
