Pahnl π¬π§ Birmingham Street Art β’ New Print Release , by tartarus on Nov 5, 2014 23:31:02 GMT 1, strange turn of events here!
Just went to frame mine in a Β£4 frame from a charity shop. Decided to do a quick bit of research on the dodgy watercolour that was in the frame and found the same size work by the artist selling for 500 quid in a gallery!
Double win!
Still no frame now though.

Pahnl π¬π§ Birmingham Street Art β’ New Print Release , by randomname on Nov 10, 2014 18:48:55 GMT 1, Mine arrived last week. Very nice little print. Thanks again for the giveaway.
Unfortunately, the end tube was smashed in and the print was dinged. I'm not sure how the postal service even managed to crush the end cap into the tube. I tried to recreate it after the tube was empty and you can't just push it in without a lot of force.
Anyway, I had a go at it today with my amateur restoration skills and managed to get most of the crease out. So now I just need to get a mat and get it in a frame. It should look fine when it's all said and done.
Edit: Got it in a frame. I ended up covering the damage with the mat. Looks great in person.

Sorry to hear it arrived damaged, maybe customs had a look inside and weren't as delicate as they could've been. Guess the job of covering the top does the job nice enough, thanks for the photo

Pahnl π¬π§ Birmingham Street Art β’ New Print Release , by Pahnl on Nov 27, 2014 12:13:44 GMT 1, 'Twas The Night' Christmas Decorations
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Although a dog was making haste with a candy cane For sugary treats were on his hungry little brain.
Dotting and dancing through that crisp eve night, Some birds saw an open window through which they took flight. Swiftly leaving with presents and stockings and Christmas puddings in tow, The birds left through that very same double-glazed window.
And two house cats were playing with tinsel so shiny, When one looked up at something so green and tiny. As etched in light from the fairy light's glow, Above these two romantic kitties, lay a sprig of mistletoe.
We're busy with a number of projects at the moment but we found time to get together a small edition of laser cut Christmas decorations. They're printed on 3mm thick birch and come packaged with a hand finished, screen printed card.
Available to purchase for Β£30 (including worldwide postage), along with more details and photos, here.

Pahnl π¬π§ Birmingham Street Art β’ New Print Release , by Pahnl on Dec 9, 2014 17:09:59 GMT 1, 'Merry' Card Pack
...nipping at your toes.
I've just released a pack of Christmas cards in association with Herrods, which has it's annual show this Thursday. I've a few things up there and it's unclear whether I'll have the energy to make it to the launch or not yet but it's sure to be an excellent exhibition!
Five cards in each pack and available to purchase for Β£12 here.

Pahnl π¬π§ Birmingham Street Art β’ New Print Release , by Pahnl on Dec 24, 2014 1:45:54 GMT 1, Engineering Is...
Engineering is the art of modelling materials we do not wholly understand, into shapes we cannot precisely analyze so as to withstand forces we cannot properly assess, in such a way that the public has no reason to suspect the extent of our ignorance.
A commissioned piece for an engineer whose expertise is airplane seating. Having seen the our 'Definitions' prints, he wanted a similar kind of piece that featured a favourite quote of his from engineer Dr. E. H. Brown. Had some fun coming up with ridiculous chair designs!

Pahnl π¬π§ Birmingham Street Art β’ New Print Release , by jlf on Jan 4, 2015 17:11:25 GMT 1, yeah, but I'm just waiting for my house purchase to go through so that Β£120 should probably go on a washing machine or dishwasher or even better robot vacuum cleaner. Got loads for the walls already. It is tempting once I have the keys and know what stuff the previous people have left me I might be back in for it

Pahnl π¬π§ Birmingham Street Art β’ New Print Release , by Someones Brain on Jan 17, 2015 0:11:52 GMT 1, Picked up the (very stylish black) print tube from the post office today (which means they start landing outside the UK). Thanks again Pahnl! The son loves it and demands framing. Glad I already ordered a frame. Happy day! I know it's rather late but I wanted to finally share how the frame job turned out. My son (8) got it as an extra Xmas present in December and he loves it. So thanks again, Pahnl, for making that happen! The frame itself is rectangular, custom made for the print of black wood with silver/metal edges (see second pic).
Here it is on the wall in my son's room. There is also a small Adam McLevey canvas ("You complete me" - the small person hands the larger person a cap for the spray can) that was a Xmas present two years ago. The other small pieces are 3 "seeker friends" by Jeff Soto. The remaining 3 pieces were done by my son (with a little help from me).

Pahnl π¬π§ Birmingham Street Art β’ New Print Release , by Someones Brain on Jan 17, 2015 23:23:24 GMT 1, Great little Mickey piece. You did that? My son (now 8) did it 1.5 years ago. You can see his "old" signature (he now signs his art with a FREE MAN tag). I cut the stencil though (from a pic I took from the internet) and lend a helping hand. My son added the red lightsabers. We also did one with a bunch of flowers added for the birthday of one of my son's (girl) friends. And a third one was done together with a neighbour girl who added a big balloon. The stencil was then destroyed as it was a simple A4 paper stencil only. The lego man was the result of another "workshop" we did with 3 of my son's friends during school holidays last year. I advice everyone to do such small art projects with your own kids and their friends from time to time. It's fun and brings them closer to art making, in particular street art and graffiti. I noticed that kids who've done it themselves in such a "workshop" go through the city with their eyes much wider open.
