Banksy - Reclaimed Sign, by valentina on Oct 16, 2014 13:13:38 GMT 1, NOT MINE!
And I know, I know - it is meant for the street, and it can't be authenticated, and that makes it worthless, and I should go f*ck myself, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
You gotta admit, though - it would kinda look nice in a frame?
Rat!

Banksy - Reclaimed Sign, by sgolby on Oct 16, 2014 13:38:48 GMT 1, How does one know if it is fake or not? Not tryig to be argumentative, just interested in knowing. Regardless if fake or not, if this goes up to 2 or 3k, i don't understand why soemone would buy it instead of something certifiable. it looks ok, but personally if you are goin. To remove a piece from the streets and it has other writing or whatever on it, then it should be left on. Personally i think it would have looked better with the other graff left on. s

Banksy - Reclaimed Sign, by valentina on Oct 16, 2014 15:20:56 GMT 1, Yeah - I know. I did some research.
the post listing just caught my eye. I compared the rat on the sign to the stencil and it's almost a dead match. If you look at other ones (drill rat) that are more than likely actually done by banksy there is differences in the tail, head, etc. I guess it doesn't mean much b/ I am sure he went through a number of stencils and there was for sure variation - but still, the rat on the sign is awfully similar to the drill rat pictured on the stencils for sale.

Personally i think it would have looked better with the other graff left on. s Reverse the question: how does someone know it's genuine? You don't, so don't bother with these time wasters.
The reason someone would buy it is because they've been conned. And there are many ways to do this. Why would someone pay money to an email from a stranger in Nigeria? I wouldn't, and can't explain why people do. But they are out there. And in exactly the same way, people like this seller create something that they can make money from.
Can you explain to me why you think it 'looks ok'? It doesn't! It's s**t! Badly sprayed with a wonky tag.

Touche. When i say something looks ok, it means i am being polite. The point of my post was i don't understand why someone would buy something they can't certify. Trust, homeboy, there is no way i would go for something like this. S

Banksy is very good at placement why would a rat be drilling a sign in the air?

But has that anything to do with your fear of rats?
Edit: Or the fear for roadsigns maby?
