heavy duty hanging wire, by Deleted on Oct 20, 2014 9:01:15 GMT 1, Hi guys Anyone know where I can pick up really good quality heavy duty hanging wire in London? My local framer does the thin wire which is good for most things but I'm hanging a 100cmx100cm wooden piece that's also been covered by resin and with a heavy frame so I don't think it's up to the job.
Many thanks

heavy duty hanging wire, by Adman on Oct 20, 2014 16:51:13 GMT 1, Hi Araplatoon, I got something large framed up a couple of years ago (1.8 x 1m). The framers said that wire really wasn't a good idea – so went for something like this:
amazon.co.uk/HEAVY-LARGE-PICTURE-MIRROR-HANGING/dp/B00LO49VYC/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1413819286&sr=8-9&keywords=heavy+duty+picture+hangers
The 'J' shaped hooks are attached to the wall – and the loops go on the back of the frame. Really straightforward, sits really flat on the wall and super sturdy!
I'm sure any framers (maybe hardware shops?) will be able to point you in the right direction. Cheers, A
