There is nothing to compare before Blek and Banksy , Banksy and other street-artists. Banksy is still " the eye ", the location and the spot, he is still the rebel, with this bit of irony, He is still outside updating the streets, He don't sell anymore prints and not spend his times in galeries, He f.ck UNIK in his proper town last weeks, It will always be this provocative artist and imaginative of our streets. Don't shot the Alarm !
Banksy in on his side, working on his own, and do'nt care about fashion and styles. Some other street-artsits are in the other side ( Daleast, Roa, etc.. ) , some others as Invader in another side too, Blek-le-rat, too, etc, etc... This is marvellous all these street-artists running in the dark of a night with a ladder or not...
Why people always want to compare ?! Milk is milk, coffee is not tee.*
But we can mix milk with tee or coffee and advertising is really sh.t ( a lot of wermeer in cake box, chocolate, yogurt, etc... )

Going over a piece with your own artwork...that's common although not that soon, I guess. Tagging....a bit daft. Trashing it with paint is just anger. I guess the alarm in her ear didnt ring sufficient enough when she got trashed by vandals. |
