Signed Martin Whatson Spacers....SECRET AUCTION!, by Deleted on Oct 21, 2014 21:59:45 GMT 1, You could mix and match with another artist.
Frame the spacers
Play pick up sticks
use them as a dado rail in a small room
Pin stripes for the mota
frame your tv?
Cut them up and make a few little jig saw puzzles

Signed Martin Whatson Spacers....SECRET AUCTION!, by Mister Frame Man on Oct 22, 2014 10:09:24 GMT 1, So, this wasn't really meant to be a "sale" thread!
Martin and I thought it may be slightly ironic and expected to receive a lot of negative comments just like the last time I did a framing offer with these spacers.....Particularly as once in the frame the signature will obviously be covered!
Anyways, it seems as though there is a lot of interest so after speaking with Martin we are offering these to the highest bidder via pm to me.
Bids close at midnight on Friday 24th October and all money will go to Martin's nominated charity that he already does lots of work for.
Please bid away!

Signed Martin Whatson Spacers....SECRET AUCTION!, by Mister Frame Man on Oct 22, 2014 10:18:14 GMT 1, Just to add, these spacers are 95cm and 75cm in length.
Therefore the largest artwork size they could be used for is 93x73cm.

Nice to see another charitable thread.

As a businessman you should embrace all feedback and not dismiss it as negative. Martin ran away in a sulk when Logan Hicks called him for blatant copying, yet still reads here and decided to start a troll thread with help from you?? Seems legit to me
For the record I've always said his cutting skills are amazing but found the copying a bit boring, not an unreasonable statement.A lot of people here prefer framing without added extras, that's just a personal choice.A very fine line between complementing the art and competing with it(to my eye at least)To dismiss that opinion as being negative is short sighted in terms of potential future custom.
I feel the need to put a flame suit on now for having a different opinion.

Thank you for your opinion.......As a businessman I embrace all feedback, just because I acknowledged some previous feedback as being negative doesn't mean I dismissed it!
As for personal preference in regards to framing I couldn't agree with you more (yes I did just say that), I just like to point out to clients that there are many other options available to them other than white, white or white. We produce more white box frames with white mount or white spacers than anything else, at no point in the consultation do I get out the nipple clamps and slowly tighten until they give in and ask for added extras.
Your opinion isn't "different", it is shared by many.........

I agree - too fussy framing even if the artist has contributed can very easily ruin the focus on the art inside for me.

Signed Martin Whatson Spacers....SECRET AUCTION!, by Deleted on Oct 25, 2014 10:02:13 GMT 1, I was going to add that art is art--ideas expressed through some visual content--and that color-matching framing materials to a piece is interior decoration.
...then I think Json's Santa just winked at me and that freaked the sh*t out of me, so I'm signing off!
Frame away as you all see fit.
