A1, A0 Portfolio and Sleeves, by slacker on Oct 18, 2007 13:36:24 GMT 1, I bought an A1 portfolio for my smaller prints, then have any large ones sandwiched between two huge pieces of hardboard that I've lined with multiple layers of acid free tissue paper. I've then sealed it with tape to prevent dust getting in and put it flat under my sofa. Not ideal for viewing purposes and was a bit hairy trying to get them flat while I put the top board on but as least they are safe and there's no chance of bending. Maybe not great but it's got to be better than keeping them in tubes.
i have done exactly the same with a couple of my bigger prints (cli-che and pop tart). really need to get them framed sometime soon.

A1, A0 Portfolio and Sleeves, by kiy on Oct 26, 2007 20:52:52 GMT 1, Im in the market also for a good folder and sleaves....
I hear forum members and ebayers talking about Secol sleaves....
Anyone use them? I have looked at the Secol Website but am unsure which sleaves to buy.
Ideally a A0 folder as it would be future proof....but maybe a A1 folder also....
I will visit atlantis art tomorrow but any advice before then would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks

A1, A0 Portfolio and Sleeves, by nickc on Dec 7, 2007 16:00:25 GMT 1, Call me a dunce if you want (I was never all that hot at chemistry) but I was in Paperchase on Tott Ct Rd earlier. They have A1 sleeves that have acid free paper in them but the sleeves themselves are pH neutral. Are these as good as damnit acid free?

A1, A0 Portfolio and Sleeves, by funyoung on Apr 6, 2008 16:25:33 GMT 1, art discount served me well. prices very similar to niks and naks but had better range when i was looking. Went for the cezanne portfolio with archival sleeves (10) for approx ยฃ65 delivered. www.artdiscount.co.uk/acatalog/The_College_Cezanne_Presentation_Portfolio.html
but niks and naks have many proponents here so must be doing something right ...

You get more for your money here than you would at ASDA - size wise i'd go for A1

Not sure exactly how expensive they are, but as mentioned Selwyns stuff looks a cut above anything I've ever used, but will not be cheap! check out www.selwyns.com they have a USA 800 number, so no harm in taking a look and givving them a call. I was thinking about grabbing just a couple of larger sleeves from them to get a couple of larger prints out of tubes and keep them in. They look superb!
