DFace Hate, by eastonpromise on Jan 17, 2011 15:13:02 GMT 1, get a bigger frame and get a square mount cut for it, that will cover the excess paper and you do not need to trim your print.

I will wait as rem has emailed dface to see what he says. I think i would probably just frame it like it is then.

I suspect artylang said this tongue in cheek.
Trimming a print never a good idea imo. Keep it as the artist intended it.

DFace Hate, by wizzy on Jan 17, 2011 23:46:30 GMT 1, I have a dface hate print in black which has alot of paper on the top and bottom of the page (blank). The print has the stamp and is numbered but its like 20cm of blank paper above the artwork and also below there is quite a bit. I wanted to frame it up now but realized when i looked at again that its not easy to frame. Can i cut it to the size of the other ones (55cm x 50cm or 50cm x 50cm) so it fits the frame better and looks like the robert indiana print more? Any advise please?
Do it if you want to, you paid for it, its you who has to look at the bugger not the Artist.

DFace Hate, by stillborncrisps on Jan 18, 2011 1:07:11 GMT 1, For some reason there were two different sizes of these prints *within* the edition, seemingly at random, across at least several colourways. I've seen a few crop up on eBay and on this forum.
There's the regular 50 x 50, and the oddly shaped 50 x 70 that sashaz has. I've never worked out why. I've seen the 50 x 70 sell for slightly less, possibly because it's more difficult to frame squared.
I too suggest asking D to do it, but before you do please ask him to shed light on why the two sizes even exist - were they even meant to or was it an accident? POW might also know the answer - I'm guessing they printed it as it was released through them?

DFace Hate, by rydal on Apr 2, 2011 22:52:50 GMT 1, I have a gold HATE which I would let go for รโรยฃ400. I think that's a fair price as the gold, silver and black editions are generally regarded as more desirable than the others. Mint condition and 50x50cm. If you are interested I will post some pics.
