Would have been vaguely interested if they were much larger for the same price

URBAN[E] by Eine, by mutatis on Dec 6, 2014 11:39:02 GMT 1, If any of you read the latest article posted somewhere on one of the threads about him, he is trying to move himself into the contemporary art market. And once you are there (and wanna get there), you can't possibly charge street art prices anymore. ?
From article:
โI donโt want to sell to street art collectors, I want to sell to art collectors,โ he says. โItโs already going that way: more expensive, higher end galleries. For a long time it has been so much more than just painting fucking stuff on the street.โ

I think that quote may leave a bitter taste in a few mouths. The thing I find with his work is that alongside high end art his work still just looks like street art

I guess if you love small square and metal cubes then yes. This does absolutely nothing for me

URBAN[E] by Eine, by zefarrett on Dec 6, 2014 21:32:28 GMT 1, It's getting really sad in my opinion. Eine got me into the street art game after seeing the canvas he sent to Obama. Ive always been a typo nut and thought it was one of the most amazing pieces I had ever seen. That august I saw his "TO express" work at the Lowry in Salford and was blown away, bought some postcard packs and wished I could get just one piece. A few months later managed to get Oranges and the secondary market, when it arrived I sat there staring at it for hours on end, the detail is fantastic and the colour amazing. The past year his releases look more and more like photoshopped pieces, prices are sky high, but when you look on the bay you see none of the newer stuff tends to shift. Shutterfront imo was his best phase. And now, s**t like the cubes are getting pedalled for thousands, it's so far removed from his roots it's unbeleivable. Nothing wrong with high prices if the market dictates, but these are tat with what looks like very little input from eine. Look at the latest revolution print, squashing down the size of letters for a 3-3-4 what the f**k is that about? Was so exciting to here the print was coming then shocked by the price and even more shocked at the 3-3-4 issue. Get back to what your best at Ben, please! There, that's out my system now!
I'll tell you what the 3-3-4 is about... 3.bp.blogspot.com/-fQNr7jf7CZw/U-TTBwimxGI/AAAAAAAAZPE/r_IarJlyzlM/s1600/IMG_2180.JPG

Hi yeah saw this before print came out compare the two though, the T and N on bottom line on the original span out further than on the print and I swear the O is the same size on both lines where they dont on the print. I know it's a personal thing but doesn't look right to me, check out his amazing or exciting pieces, these dont have the same issue and are so much better imo

Ben's train prints are nowhere near as popular as his letter prints but I got hooked to urban art cos of these prints so it is all the fault of these train prints that I went and bought a few banksy's. I don't care for the eine letters prints too much so come on Ben give us green and yellow train prints.
