For me the problem with something like "Red" is although it is an excellent ambition to tackle HIV/AIDS in Africa, it doesn't address the problem that many African nations have which is a very weak health structure. This leads to some diseases, in this case HIV/AIDS being prioritised to the detriment of other illnesses. What is needed is funding for a more systematic approach to building infrastructure both in urban and rural settings. Although this I imagine is less 'glamorous' for donors to give to. If these systems were in place in the three nations affected by Ebola, the outbreak could have been controlled.
