Parasite π΅π± New Painting β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Nov 23, 2014 19:09:33 GMT 1, Some time ago I painted this picture. It's a little weird piece for me, at first I thought that this piece looks good but it didn't have something more. I thought that this piece was too simple but with the passing of time when sometimes I suffled him and then looked once more and more it start intrigue me. What do you think about this piece? thanks for your opinions
I really like it - the colour and the lines etc against the battered old picture. Very nice indeed. For me it's one of your best. E

Parasite π΅π± New Painting β’ Art For Sale, by Parasite on Nov 25, 2014 21:40:07 GMT 1, Thanks for your words. I tried to maybe paint something similar, up-close but this painting is one and the only one. Now I have some time for painting so I have a new piece, this time with black. I had a serie with black (parasite.pl/sporulated-forms/parasite-paintings-black-things.html) but after all I made more sketches then good paintings in normal or bigger scale. I have to paint some more pieces with absorbing black like this one on Caspar Friedrich...
therefore for today:
IN THE BLACK acryl on old print on fiberboard, 62 x 51 cm
PS lucky7 - it's not so similar to my Caspar Friedrich but BLACK!

Parasite π΅π± New Painting β’ Art For Sale, by Oski on Jan 20, 2015 0:17:39 GMT 1, I absolutely love what you are doing Parasite, and if you don't mind, I'd like to summarize my thoughts on your work here. Please keep in mind that it's meant to be constructive.
On the surface, this series utilize the cool adaptive reuse of thrift store art, and represent an invasion of not only your additions upon them, but the foreign objects you depict are literally overtaking the landscapes. But to me this goes further on the theoretical level, and is about the dichotic challenge of modern vs. traditional art, and the figurative vs. the non-figurative.
The first piece is by far the best executed to me, and to me one of the most exciting things I've seen in a long time. It's got several elements working for me:
1. The verticality is further emphasized by your black object and it can either be ascending to overtake the mountain peak or descending with the white lines plotting it's landing. 2. The white lines and the white box below create an optical distortion as the mind attempts to reconcile the projection of the white box to the black box. 3. The white and black boxes actually subvert each other as both are equally the solid and the void. 4. The shapes are just cool, lol.
The subsequent work, I'm not as enthusiastic about due to the following: 1. The black shapes are way too big and obfuscate the very challenges I've spoken about above. There's no real landscape to compete with the overwhelming black boxes. 2. They don't have the svelte elegance of the box and lines in the first piece. You should really go with the white lines and white box as a counterpoint to the black box and allow their intricate dance to come through. 3 They are not visually balanced and don't achieve a gestalt of an organized whole that is more than the sum of its parts, and it's a compositional issue.
I will apologize in advance if my unsolicited comments are out of line. But I see great promise in what you are doing and it would be a shame if it's not being fully realized. Take care.

Parasite π΅π± New Painting β’ Art For Sale, by Parasite on Jan 20, 2015 20:45:56 GMT 1, I absolutely love what you are doing Parasite. There is a dearth of art interpretation and criticism on these forums, despite their ostensible focus on art. It actually baffles me that in hundred thousands of posts, maybe only 1% or less are devoted to discussing the merit of the artwork (besides their financial worth) and people's interpretation thereof. So if you don't mind, I'd like to take a crack at it, and please keep in mind that it's meant to be constructive. On the surface, this series utilize the cool adaptive reuse of thrift store art, and represent an invasion of not only your additions upon them, but the foreign objects you depict are literally overtaking the landscapes. The subsequent work, I'm not as enthusiastic about due to the following: 1. The black shapes are way too big and obfuscate the very challenges I've spoken about above. I will apologize in advance if my unsolicited comments are out of line. But I see great promise in what you are doing and it would be a shame if it's not being fully realized. Take care. I will write in points too:
1. Thanks for the post with your opinions about issues of criticism here and about my works. I would like to hear more often so good and constructive words about someone work.
2. Yes, I hope that this working with pictures is or will be something deeper than only 'overtaking' or 'parasiting' those images. Black things are the continuation of thinking about paintings. Maybe I can add something about an actual idea of authorship when everyone is coping someone else, even this 'someone' is very close to them. How to paint when you feel that painting isn't a landscape etc.
3. First work vs next two: - I know what you mean about the first one vs second&third, I understand, I see those issues about sizes, composition and domination in the picture, - but sometimes I want to hide for expose something other, maybe the black hole or imagination, sometimes I like use only one color, or even none color because black in a color pallete in classic painting isn't a color, it's a hole / gap, - sometimes I don't want to deal with a picture,it means correspond with the story on it but I don't reject this idea forever, maybe you have right and after some sketches and paintings I will focus on a lyrical interaction,
4. Within an hour I will show here a new 'black' painting. I painted it about two weeks ago. I'm curious what you will say.
5. Thanks again, and thanks for every opinions, not only your

Parasite π΅π± New Painting β’ Art For Sale, by Someones Brain on Jan 21, 2015 9:24:25 GMT 1, I like that new series a lot, Parasite. My favorite is still the first one. I'm not sure why, but it might be because 1) the black area is not that large and 2) it is in the upper part of the picture and seems almost 3D which goes along with some kind of a menacing/invasive feeling. Keep up this theme!

Parasite π΅π± New Painting β’ Art For Sale, by Parasite on Jan 27, 2015 21:26:01 GMT 1, Finally after a little pause here I'm back. I have a lot of other artistic activities in poland and I can't paint everyday but at last I can show you something new.
A week ago I came up with an idea that apart from painting those bigger pictures I can show you some of my sketches on papers sometimes. It won't be like with Russian Roulette or Levitan's Rainbows because here I especially want to paint those canvases etc for maybe an exhibition in near future... but sometimes I will show sketches!
So now for being in touch - 0000000000000000000000001 :
BLACK THING (sketch 00001) acryl on old printed paper 24,5 x 29 cm
& if someone want then you can get it cheaply via: shop.parasite.pl/
with love from poland

I have a lot of other artistic activities in poland and I can't paint everyday but at last I can show you something new. A week ago I came up with an idea that apart from painting those bigger pictures I can show you some of my sketches on papers sometimes. It won't be like with Russian Roulette or Levitan's Rainbows because here I especially want to paint those canvases etc for maybe an exhibition in near future... but sometimes I will show sketches! So now for being in touch - 0000000000000000000000001 : BLACK THING (sketch 00001) acryl on old printed paper 24,5 x 29 cm
& if someone want then you can get it cheaply via:Β shop.parasite.pl/
with love from poland which lucky sod has got it cartedk?
