Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Aug 20, 2014 0:18:16 GMT 1, Not sure what you mean? I haven't said Banksy collaborated with anyone. Although he did do a charity piece with your favorite D Hirst.....I do know one thing regardless of what he says he did not do PR and paint walls with Tomasmer!!! Yes Banksy has only colab with Hirst and then OS Gemos in NY.
He also exhibited in a show organised by Hirst according to some.
So i'm sur the Hirst colab opened some doors for Banksy.
None of this is true.
edit:

Think you can take it as Gospel Wiz. Thomasmer used to write PR with Banksy before they went out painting walls...so pretty sure he would know.
these are the secret walls that no one knows about that's how close they were. So secret in fact there a secret so no pictures or evidence available. He could have been a big famous artist like Banksy but preferred the low key approach. The apart was so secret it never appeared in print
It's how shall we say all a bit Hush, Hush.....

It's all about who one knows these days.

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Prescription Art on Aug 20, 2014 14:30:40 GMT 1, @ploppi , Just for a change I completely don't follow your reasoning. The first time Banksy's prices really sky rocketed was after his massive show in LA (Barely Legal) in 2006. Yes Hirst has some pieces in his collection, and displayed them at the Serpentine (and Banksy had a print as part of a print portfolio there), but in the grand scheme of things this is pretty insignificant. Can you just stop obsessing about Banksy's PR, 'team' and Hirst.

I know that some people like to keep the Banksy street cred illusion going and I only posted some facts that can be verified.
There is no obsession about any PR team and if PR is not important then why does he need a PR team today?
It's to keep people interested and preventing prices from falling.
The BOTI event wa spure PR and publicity pretending to be some sort of making art on the Streets of NY just for arts sake.
It was a stunt that was heavily promoted in the media to keep the interest in Banksy the "guerilla" artist.
The amount of slagging off and insults that other street artists like Bambi get on this forum is ignored and the title of this forum is "Urban Art Association" not the "We Love Banksy" forum.
Basically anyone who makes stencils on streets is crap and shit because they are not Banksy.
Don't get me wrong I like Banksy and his stunts.
It's entertaining and I like Banksy in the same way I like Benny Hill.
Banksy art stunts on walls appeal to many it's true who are Banksy fans not art fans it looks like.
Keep up the good work Castle, selling the cred

Bambi π¬π§ Street Art β’ Print Release β’ Art For Sale, by Deleted on Aug 20, 2014 14:52:58 GMT 1, To finish : who is bambi ? I mean, " unknown ", for me. Bambi is just another person who sprays stencils on walls which could be made from computer cut stencils made from scaled up photos and stock images.
Just like other street artists do using scaled up photos, taken from old nwspaer and other articles, stock photos and copying artists who did it before.
Her art and other stencil artists appeal to people who believe that the images appear on walls in a mysterious way like corn circle numpties do and generate a cult like following because these followers belive they know a secret that ordinary people without "street cred" don't know.

1: I sell Banksy prints, yes. However before that I was first & foremost a fan of his work. It spoke to me greatly when I first saw it on the streets, and I bought a print for Β£30 before I'd ever seen him mentioned in the press. Banksy opened up a whole world of art to me, and inspired me (and many other people who used to discuss and obsess over his work) to follow a career in something I was hugely passionate about.
2: Everything Banksy does gets a huge amount of press coverage, but that's only possible because people genuinely love and get excited by what he does.
3: This forum was originally called the 'Banksy Forum', before our wise leader Silky decided to rebrand it the 'Urban Arts Association'.
4: It's not a matter of not being Banksy. It's a matter of being original and having something to say, rather than seeing stenciling stuff on walls as a fast track to riches. If Banksy is the Sex Pistols, Bambi is a mohican wig sold in Primark.

You what? Must confess Ploppi is right recently had a terrible experience with Castle. Was desperately trying to buy a Bambi print- Kim Kardashian.
that swine Andy at Castle talked me into a Napalm AP by that new fella Banksy so low and behold I am forced to look at Micky M, Ronald Mc and a poor girl from Vietnam rather than Kim's fat arse in a Gstring!!!
Absolutely shocking it is. I have a really sneaky suspicion that he is hoarding all the Bambi pieces and cheating us fools into thinking Banksy is the new Bambi.
devious plan the cunning bastard!!
Keep up the good work Castle, selling the cred
