however, imo i have nothing wrong with someone using the media to boost their career. if she has done that well enough that she has formed a career from it and massively increased the value of her pieces then good for her right? people have to make money and so i see nothing wrong with her using PR stunts to do so

The images have no depth, political satire, dark humour, intelligence or anything interesting to say at all... But they don't care! They've built a massive hype machine around it with smoke & mirrors PR to suck in the gullible and make money off the back of far more talented artists, who have and are earning both their crust and respect! The Bambi BOTI 'stunt' demonstrated clearly once again there is no originality or creativity in the slightest, it wasn't even flattery... It was a pathetic copy and a 'desperate look at me' PR exercise to highlight the female 'Banksy' in my opinion!!
There is no comparison between Bambi and Banksy, absolutely zero to my mind. In fact there is no comparison between Bambi and any street artist.... To me 'Bambi' is a 'Sugar-esque' type exercise, the concept would fit well in one of the episodes of 'The Apprentice', where instead of hosting an urban art show after touting themselves to real artists to make money, instead they're tasked with knocking out their own 'art' and marketing it.
If you simply like an image Bambi has done and you want to spend your cash on it, then I guess each to their own. If you see it as an investment, then seriously good luck to you! But I wouldn't expect to come into an Urban Art Forum and not get questioned on your judgement or decision making if you seriously consider Bambi a genuine street/urban art talent!

I see members complaining foul because her images seem like photos run through a program to make a stencil (which may be true but I've yet to see proof). Yet guess what. How many artists have images that look like this? Heck, whatson has been 100 percent proven to do this! Banksy girl with pearl earring anyone?

How many artists also do this? Exit Through the gift shop? Releasing a video posting a work in a real gallery? Boti? Ben eide ' I'm just a street artist'? Is Bambi on the same level as Banksy? Of course not. But the amount of hate she gets for things, especially when it's not much different then other artists is quite silly. She is doing some interesting things and it can be argued it's far more interesting then many of the street: urban art characters. If you don't like it that's fine but to belittle even the mention of her and stay silent at others shows something.
