The great thing about this old L.A.dy is that many casual observers think that the line "you looked better on myspace" is a critique about the appearance of the lady on the wall.

And laughter happens because *not pretty*.

BUT, the comment is actually coming from the old lady. She's looking at the viewer and judging them on their appearance.

Once this is realised, the viewer will hopefully understand that it doesn't feel nice to have our looks criticised. That it's unkind and illogical to judge people only on their physical appearance. And that because we're all afraid of being judged on our appearance, or of being rejected, or of being alone, many of us, when using social media, will upload pictures that flatter us.

It's because we're scared. And we want to be loved. And sometimes you just have to get people to look beyond the physical. Beyond the physical shell that we live in.

It's a powerful piece.
