Share the STIK love!, by tartarus on Jan 22, 2016 23:18:35 GMT 1, Bad judgement on their part id say. On first glance I thought they could be okay then I saw the following lot which is clearly some crappy mass produced Banksy piece which has a high estimate for what look's like something you can buy of a market stall. On another note have they now started to produce souvenir replica Stik pieces? Maybe they have been around for a while but this is the first one (or four in this case)I have seen. I think it will still be interesting to see what they fetch. dude in brick lane has been selling little pieces for a while already. the fakers swoop fast. stunning to see such pap in an auction house though. low end as they are.

It takes a while for the secondary market merchandise to work it's way this far up North:)

Share the STIK love!, by met on Jan 22, 2016 23:45:17 GMT 1, I love Stik - don't care how much it's worth. Great stuff. I was always amused by the above quote.
For the history buffs present, in five days' time (on 26 January) it will be exactly 18 years old. I'm ancient enough to remember watching it on television.
How did the rest of the response go again? Something like, "I want you to listen to me. I’m going to say this again. I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."

Share the STIK love!, by ryanoh1 on Jan 23, 2016 11:40:03 GMT 1, Just had a catch up on this thread- wow! Just to say that I met Missy Parrot in the NHS Stik queue- she was stood behind me with her partner and I can definitely confirm that she didn't have anyone queuing at the front. How do I know this? Because she was just as worried as me for most of the day that we may miss out on the print after having queued for fecking ages! Haha.

Share the STIK love!, by Sturban Has Saggy Tits on Feb 4, 2016 17:49:05 GMT 1, Lets set the record straight shall we, i turned up at 9:30 so was f**ked from the start but it was obvious walking up and down the queue who had it sewn up - Grafiiti Street were trying to bribe the security guard as they had tunred up late
- The bristol bunch at the front were there own crew - paynie i think?
- There was another large group not far behind them - all the usual faces, along with a few students - more staff no doubt
- There was a gaggle of young ladies dressed like they were going to a nightclub - clearly being paid to queue and not happy that they were there for the whole day
- The ticket lady and all her mates were Missy P's - and she joined the forum after the drop
- THere were at least 2 more 'crews'
I guesstimate there were about 20 genuine fans, the rest were all there picking up multiples.
I can't confirm or deny anything what you have said, as I wasn't there. But from what I have seen sold on the secondary market so far, I think you are pretty spot on with your last comment. In fact I would say 20% is slightly high.

Could you not move this to the Stik baby thread - it's not really relevant on the "share the love" thread ? Plenty of opportunity to vent your opinions & observations there for the benefit of all

Share the STIK love!, by FЯ on Feb 4, 2016 19:26:52 GMT 1, So where do i make comment about PFG rinsing the artist they are supposed to represent ? the book print was an edition of 4? and yet someone has a whole set selling through PFG at £3k a piece - sounds to me that 'someone' sat on some primary releases and has made up a client so he can get away at selling them at 'ebay prices'. Otherwise he'd be struck off the future buying list for being a flipper, no? Everyone rinsing Stik except Stik What are they meant to do? one guy sells his on ebay and thats what it sells for
why would they still sell them for £1400 if the price elsewhere is £3000. they are not rinsing anyone, infact they are doing their best to get the pieces to people that really want them. if you really want something, you will pay for it.
POW dont sell banksy prints because they were once £75 or whatever, they sell them at market value +vat infact.
lets not get into a price argument again

Share the STIK love!, by Deleted on Feb 4, 2016 19:55:38 GMT 1, Your suggesting PFG are selling them as primary. So Stik release prices are now set by ebay? When POW sold CYW did they say Banksy prints now go for £3k on ebay so we'll sell it that - or did they sell half the edition, wait a month and sell the rest at £3k. Selling them at £3k isnt getting them to the fans - its pandering to investment bankers and encouraging even more flipping - Its also very clear that PFG arent POW Sadly, while everyone hypes the s**t out of him and lines there pockets the artist could end up like micallef with no secondary as no one trusts those closest to him and so compromises his credibility too Banksy prices have been set by the market over a long period of time - Stiks prices have been hyped to death over the last 4 months - he needs to be careful as those rinsing him will be noweher to be seen if theres a crash Poor old Micallef - these days the poor bugger's found slumming it in trashy mags like GQ. www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/antony-micallef-art
Where did it all go wrong for the award winning, handsome devil? He should still be churning out 50 quid prints with POW...
